Yes a munch could well be the answer we might try putting one together after the new year perhaps early spring see what feed back we get. Yes we allso agree the northeast has died a death even the chat rooms have all changed, but kinda makes us laugh as folks used to complian chat rooms were clicky but now all the reg,s gone they dead. Anyhow watch this space for munch date ect if we decide to go ahead and do one.

i have tried organising parties a few times over the years, yes ive been on here since it started and got free lifetime membership when it got taken over!! and people wont come, and i do understand that a single man, who they dont really know, at his house! in a quiet village in northumberland! with my reputation! that last bit was a joke, im a quiet person, very polite, anyway, yes, party at single mans house, hasnt worked in the past suppose i could try it again, im not going out or anything will just be in by myself, back in the day, i actually went to hardwicke hall on new years eve for a look, nowt of course but that was some place when it was up and running, anyway, again, party at mine new years eve, couples and single ladies only, that would leave enough men, like me sitting by meself again, till i realise no bodies coming and head off to see if theres any couples around, which takes me back to the point of this thread, there isnt anymore!! see how ive gotten it round in a full circle haha god i must be bored, ill put an ad up, bring your own drink, thanks for the sexy ladies replying

What you could do is ask any people you've met / played with already to add their names to any party your possibly planning.
If you had a few couples or females on-board then more people would be inclined to come.

Yes we have found everything has gone very quiet. There always used to be some do on or other and now nothing.
I suppose we are all to blame we wait until someone else organises it then moan when no one does lol .
We will keep an eye out for any pinks or function coming up as we always enjoy a good social.

all the people ive enjoyed the pleasure of in the past have moved on in various ways, left the scene ive lost contact with them etc, i used to be a regular at club2000 but even thats finished now and the people i knew from there i just dont know where they are now, and as i live in a little quiet house in a little quiet village miles from anywhere, people dont want to travel there

I will give it some thought early in the new year to organise something, hopefully there is enought folks in the North East room who i have met socially to know am not a wierdo and can vouch for me, the major problem is quite were to have it (social) it seems the pink is always very popular but an expensive venture for the folks on Teesside, and them up the toon wont come down here,any suguestions feel free to contribute

I think Hot's comment about Teesside v Pink is very fair. I understand the events further North are generally popular and well-attended but too far/expensive for most of us down here.
I've organised a couple of events myself in the past and it's a thankless task not without a degree of hassle and frustration so I can appreciate why people are reticent in doing the same.
House parties are nice if you know the host/ess but it's a much more intimate environment and atmosphere so I think you'd be fool to expect a bunch of couples or single females to turn up at a stranger's house in some obscure Northumberland village.
As for membership, well we can't make people join up can we? People come and go as they please, maybe they choose to use other sites or just drop out altogether and find a real life? The site has attempted to draw more people in with the recent free chat trial but who knows how many have stayed since then?
I think this whole "swinging" malarkey is now much more mainstream and people are finding they can enjoy this kind of hobby without the need for joining sites like this. God knows how many times I've been approached on the likes of Facebook, for example, or even (gasp!) out in the real world!
The chatroom is dying 'cos people do nothing but fuckin whinge - FACT! They come in, whine about how quiet is it, contribute absolutely nothing yet expect to be entertained by the masses and get instant meets - then they leave again! What the hell do they expect really?

i started going when it moved to benton, never visited the other one...marya, you make many valid points and one that touches on my original point, its mainstream, i remember a while back, being a visitor of car parks and them being occupied by couples and one or two single men, mebe 3 or 4, obviously sometimes more, and it was staedy like that for a long long time, everywhere, hardwicke, seaton sluice, big waters, then one day, dogging was on the news, it mustve been no more than a week or two later and there was all kind of men turning up in cars and at one point actually winding their window down and asking myself and a couple i was there with if we were going to do anything, no diplomacy no respect pull up to the cars jump out and stare through the windows, it was ruined and i think a similar thing happened with arranged meets, alot of timewasters, people with no intention other than to drag you for miles for no reason on the promise of a meet, it became an impossible task to find someone genuine, still is, and this goes for the chatroom too, people started to get involved as it was on the news and as you said, expected to get sex whatevr their attitude wherever they tried, just as the chatroom, they dont want to chat, they want to shag or watch a cam, its a totally different attitude now, back in the day you got one or two pushy people but theres a hell of alot more now and it is spoilt to a certain degree, as for the parties, i was making the point of where i live and that im a single man, thats why i hope for invites for other parties!! doesnt happen like although i did attend one in leeds, stockton, seaham, travelled as far as harrogate on another goose chase but there you go.

most of the big socials were set up by the forumm then copy and pasted links into the chat room which active cpls singles saw and it did bring many users who sat watching chat into the scene more and met others and got more known , as lemon says ppl wait till some other post a one, we and tynes have done quite a few successfull ones and anywhere from 70 to 100 users have been some great nights which for big socials takes some planning ie emails sent out hotels to book 9which if wana stay is hard as allways sumit on in newc) thing is lots put name doon and never turn up but there was a hard core who allways turn up ,but a very few use chat now and there is the forum but was very easy to paste link in a bouncing chat room to get the numbers up. may i add there is a show/social cum pink night after been thought about/idea from a active cpl to test the water , hopefully this will put the ne chat back where it was a boucing room that was one of the best and agreed very hard room to get into. watch the forums
