So far (either here or in our inbox) 1 female, 3 males and 3 couples have said they would come if we organise a social. The best socials are the ones with lots of people, so who else is interested? Ask around and lets get the numbers up please

I dont know if its the case now or not but 4-5 years ago munch regulars would travel long distances for munchs in all areas. We traveled to Wigan from Bristol for a munch and would think nothing of driving to the areas you mention and staying overnight, its half the fun.
You will get lots of people put names down
then lots will drop out 
Such is the way with munchs. Why not just go for a room that holds about 50 people. I'd say you will get 30 with out much trouble at all and if that is what you get wont look bad in a room for 50. If you get the 50 though :thumbup: no problems.
Read the guides, take the plunge and good luck. Would put names down but alas we cant travel anymore due to no all night baby sitters

I think more people may show an interest if you have a date and a vague location / town, because of work, kids, real life, etc.

OK other side of M25, but know there's one organised for 6th Feb just off M25 Essex way, perhaps worth attending and hopefully making contacts so those peeps might attend one your side in return. The basic ingredients for a social are a date, a venue and people. You now can see there is interest (people), you now need the other two ingredients. Someone has suggested tomorrow night, why not agree to meet in a local pub? Even if it's only half a dozen and it's all guys, at least you have made contact and know there is interest. You can then move forward to organise one with more notice and perhaps get more people attending.
