This will be purely a social event and will not involve playing of any kind, it will be a chance for everyone to chat and ask questions, and to put some faces to the names we often see on the forums. I have booked a private room, which has it’s own entrance and bar, so we will not be bothered by Joe Public. The room is available from approx until approx and I understand the bar prices are very reasonable. We are not intending to put on a buffet for this event and have decided against a disco or Karaoke so that people will have the chance to talk. there will hopefully be some background music (volunteers please) but we are open to suggestions on anything else you would like us to organise.
We are not putting any limits on the time you have been a member before you can attend, BUT you must be able to convince us that they want to come along on the night for the right reasons. We are hoping to have a good mix of regulars and newer members and can guarantee that everyone who comes along, so long as they abide by the general munch rules (see link above), will be made welcome.
Therefore, if you are interested in coming along and are not well known on the forums, please can you tell me (either on this post or via private message if you feel more comfortable) why you want to come along and what you hope to gain from the evening. Its not a test, but will help us to ensure we are inviting the right people.
We will send out details of the venue etc nearer to the time but please don’t put your names down if you have no intention of actually turning up on the night, places are having to be limited and we would much rather give these out to people who actually want to be there!
