We need a DJ and someone to do the door (doorman required only till 10pm), so if anyone is willing to help out please PM me. Tks.
The venue has a public bar attached to it which residents can use after 11pm and up until 2pm (which means we can all use it coz residents can bring in guests!)

A fortnight ago, when you were turning down applications from members whose rate of posting you considered to be too low, you were saying that there was plenty of room and plenty of time for them to “qualify†in time for the munch. Although I have been a member for ages, since May 2003, I had not made all that many posts in the forums, so I decided to follow your advice and to raise my level of activity. (I have been much more active on Dean & Matty’s site.)
:( I was disappointed, therefore, to see that you have decided to close the list to single men – particularly as the last single man to apply had actually joined within the last fortnight and made only 2 posts.
Please would you add my name to the reserve list.

I feel that some clarification is required here as to the policy on single men.
The fact remains is that there are far more single men in this lifestyle than single women and many have asked to come to this munch as well as other munches. I cannot speak for the organisers of other munches but the Beds/Herts Munch can only hold 120 people max. and the list is already over-subscribed by single guys.
Many of these men have been members here for even longer than myself and to exclude them from the munch based purely on the fact that they are single would be a travesty as they have proved themselves to be genuine people with lots of friends in SH. With this in mind I have decided to adopt a cut-off date for membership to SH. That date is December 1st, any single guys who did not join prior to Dec 1st will have to go onto a reserve list - except for those that have already made it onto the list as it stands now - it wouldn't be fair of me to uninvite someone who I have already ok'd.
