if it is your first tiem i would recomend you went to cupids to be honest.
in my experience they seem to have a better couples - single guys ratio that a lot of the clubs and this might make it a bit less of a daunting experience for you both.

It might be worth you making the journey a bit further South to Chameleons in Darlaston. It's probably about 45 mins to an hour from you. It may be a bit further than the local ones but as your going to have to drive some way anyway, it probably won't be too much of a heartache. I actually drive past these and a lot more clubs to go to Chameleons as it really is the best around and great with un-experienced couple/singles. They have a fairly strict membership policy for singles so idiots/mingers don't get in.
Really nice friendly people there and fantastic facillities (no I'm not on commission!!
I go there fairly regularly so if you want to meet up there sometime, just PM me and I'll show you around.
