Not really double standards, Red Hot. Males are different from females, simple as. Because there are so many males on this Site, the females can put really simple ads to generate interest. Conversely, with so few females, they can pick and choose from a huge amount of interest their ad brings. A guy has to make his ad stand out from the crowd, the ladies don't.

Sounds like double standards to me............It has nothing to do with "making his ad stand out" it is the fact that many a single guy has been lambasted for posting EXACTLY the same request.........................

Hmm - I see your point RH. And the guys do get picked on for doing it, but moreso because they seem to think it's the norm when they first come on the Site.
