Having just recently had a car crash I now have the option to be prosecuted with a fine and 3 points on my licence or do a driving update course.
Obviously I am going to go for the driver up date course xx
I think it is far better for there to be a choice of penalties incurred xx
I think I am also going to look into the course you have just been on Corrie xx
It sopunds like it would be ideal to ad into the driving test xx
I am sure it would make all drivers sit up and listen more xx

That can vary wildly from car to car. Considering I can do 60+ in second gear in my car...
If you stick to a gear such that it's hard to creep up to faster speeds, then you're in a gear running at high revs. Not good for fuel efficiency, and causes more pollution and more noise.

Here Here! But I think Motorway driving should be included as part of the driving test (or at least compulsary training when you've passed!). Bloody middle lane hoggers!!!

Yes I agree with the fact that people should learn how to drive on the motorway during their lessons.
But having said that i passed my test in april this year and the number of bad habits i have picked up is unreal!!! (I dont speed).
I think that motorway driving should be included in the test cos the number of dangerous drivers out there!!!

I know its not mandatory though.
Your right there but its an extra £120+ to do the pass plus and it really only benefits the younger drivers.
A lot of younger drivers up my area have mummy and daddy but them their first car complete with insurance so why should they bother?
My insurance for my first car £1100+ but it didn't help that my first car was a sporty one!!

I thought having had lessons on and off for the last 4 years i didn't need any experience with night time driving.

I dont drive myself cause I have a fear of it but I am hoping to start lessons soon. I do love being driven places though, particularly in high speed cars. I'm a bit of a thrillseeker now.
We just sold a Peugeot 306 xsi, it was a braw car. Had a bodykit and everything but we're getting a new car so I talked him into selling it.

Sorry to say this but i am not a fan of any french petrol engine car!!!
But in my opinion you cant get much better than a pug diesel engine.
I have gone off Saxo's, Pug's 206 etc.
All because the number of boy racers driving around my area with their music blaring at 3am waking up kids. Has led to a number of complaints from various residents and as such the police are clamping down on all young drivers in a sporty car.
Which sadly includes me!!!
I also like anything fast enough to break my neck in!!

I love fast cars, absolutely adore them. I hate being in a car and its going slow. Mr naughtys pal does cars up and sells them and he speeds about like you wouldnt believe. I love going places in his cars.

It is great up there and the cars are very smart.
Ive learnt so much abot cars since stu got hsi license and I'm chuffed.

You certainly do, & I know coz I'm training to be a................. driving instructor!
So everyone should do the course........... & I will make lots more money - YIPPEE :lol:Slightly more seriously, if new drivers do the Pass Plus, it reduces the likelihood of them being involved in accidents AND they get lower insurance premiums.
