Hi folks
Just wondered if any of the techie wiz kids on here could help us with this.
We have just purchased a Logitech cordless KB N mouse, unfortunately, as its second hand, there are no manuals.
Windoze XP SP2 does recognise it, installs it, and shows that it exists in hardware settings. Trouble is, it just wont work, we disconnect the standard PS2 KB n M press connect on the USB RX/TX box, and hey presto, nothing happens.
Any ideas??

Windows with SP2 should support it, unless it needs USB2 and your motherboard doesn't support that. I use a wireless keybaord and mouse from logitech on my file server at home, and that's a P2-300 though, so it's pretty old and crusty, so I doubt it's a USB2 thing.

check the batteries. keep trying pressing the buttons. they usually work eventually

Ah, hang on, as well as pressing connect on the base station aren't there buttons on the mouse and the keyboard (on the underside) that you need to press too? Have a feeling you need to do them in a specific order, too.
We cant see any buttons on mouse or keyboard,
erm......have you checked it under the BOIS? Ther may be some setting under there that refers too USB keyboards...i know mine has...

BIOS is unnecessary for windows...find the buttons, they'll be the key.
I have a logitec wireless mouse and keyboard, with WinXP Pro and SP2.
The key board has a wee button under the top right hand side (effectively on the reverse of the logitech logo) which has to be pressed to connect it and the mouse a wee button in the back ofthe cover for the battery compartment.......
No problem installing, just plugged 'em in, pressed the connect button on the unit, and then on the mouse / keybord, and alls been well ever since.

I think you should both be careful what you wish for lol
A point worth remembering about these wireless keyboard/mice.
If you are needing to install windows from scratch (onto an empty hard drive) Have a wired keyboard and mouse plugged in because the wireless ones will/may stop responding during the windows install process and will only start responding again much later in the process. I discovered this last Friday when I had to reinstall my entire system after getting a particularly Evil virus.
