Hi all.
Just had a reply from someone and they say they cant send a pic due to their PC being logged at work so have told me to access a pic via these instructions
"Log off the internet and run Hyperterminal in your programs,
accessories communications menu on windows. Enter the name
"contacts" and then the phone number 0906********* and click
dial. That will bring up the contact site. My photograph is
called **.bmp in the female photo area. Just log in with your
own name or nickname for full access."
i have covered the detail incase it is genuine.
Does this seem like a scam to anyone, because i have heard that this type of number is expensive?
Thanks
Chris

Me too in reply to my advert. I thinks she was advertising herself this morning under bored wife, I'll check and contact a Mod.
John wink
You're right "she" was on the ads earlier, someone kindly reported it and it was removed.
Doubtless it'll be back again in some other guise.
Premium rate numbers - a modern way to transfer money from the gullible to the greedy.
Only if you fall for it.

I'm sure he will so just forward it to us please - or PM Mark.
:P
Pretty amateur as scams go ... why would anyone have to use a different dialup number to access something online if it's on a legit website?

I got something very similar after updating my ad. It came from clairenadam claiming they lived near me and asked me to go the 0906 site to view their pics. I simply replied saying I can't do that as I am on a work pc (the truth).
Gary
Sorry JAGS, i automatically deleted it.
I will remember in future though!

Bloody hell!!!!!!
It took me, two forum moderators and three chat-room ops to re-register in the chatroom. Even with them, I managed to post me password in the mainroom so had to then change my password.
So even cocking up something as simple as re-registering...........how would they have expected me to follow these instructions for them to scam me.
I think I am a scammers worse nightmare ffs
