6 months in the same jeans

Being the fashion concious young blade that I am *ahem* I've just bought a new pair of jeans, that dark unwashed denim that ruins white sofas (all the rage amongst my fellow style warriors!).
While I'm feeling pretty chuffed I've been advised to wear them as much as possible before the first wash. Apparently six months is a good start as "the more you wear and treat your jeans, the more beautiful they get."
I'd have thought that 6 month old unwashed keks would be the ultimate female repellant. God knows I've suffered for the sake of style in my time but I think it's time to draw a line in the sand!
Remind me not to sit next to you and your jeans, especially on a hot day
lol
There's no way I could go through with it! lol

One word my friend, "chaffing".
Don't wear light coloured tops or undercrackers as they will end p being ruined by the dye from the jeans.
Personally, when they are a deep dye, i always wash my jeans before wearing them.
oooohhh I love that song..........
:karaoke: I've had the same jeans on for 6 months now :karaoke:
Sorry gotta break with tradition here and reveal that as jeans wearing domestic godess, I tend to wash my jeans every time I wear em biggrin

As a former "menswear assistant" I could waffle on about this kind of stuff all day but I'd better turn it in before I revert to my old "Suit you sir!" persona.
'Were you with a lady last night sir? Did she want it sir? Ooh, suit you!
Too late...

You've got the voice of an angel, my dearest! Howveer, it's not 6 months but 4 days. Hardly a mean feat eh? Maybe it should have been 6 months - much more impressive!
Brilliant song though.
I've had the same jeans on for four days now
I'm gonna go to a disco in the middle of the town
Everybody's dressing up
I'm dressing down

oooo Hans - did you get to measure inside legs??? :rascal:
BTW, I always wash, dry and iron jeans inside out to preserve the colour.

I did get to measure the bosses missus for some alterations she wanted to some mens jeans. Was quite surprised to discover she was "commando". Friendly woman, she was...

yup its true.
Missus works for firetrap and all their designers etc always state you should wear them for 4 - 6 months before you machine wash them.
Something to do with the dye and easing the denim in... dunno

And this is exactly why you should never listen to fashion designers. They probably just want to sell you tons of perfume to mask the stench.
"Don't follow the fashion, that'd be a joke, you know we're gonna set them, so everyone can take note"
Ah, the philosophy of Adam Ant. I bet he washed his clothes.
If I could get either of our kids to wear the same pair of jeans for more than 6 minutes I would be delighted...
Change more often than Kylie on tour they do...

rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
They sound just like my lot! If only our bank accounts had as many deposits as our washing baskets lol
Although I am very environmentally concious - I can't wear a pair of jeans for more than about 2 days. And yes I do use environmentally friendly detergent. lol

Yeah I do... I just wish I'd realised you were filthy a lot sooner. :rascal:
jeans feel better after a few days of wearing them, I try to get as long as possible out of mine before washing them as they tend to shrink a bit and feel rough
