Well tomorrow this aniversary will occur for me.
I think I may go out & get absolutely drunk.
A couple of years ago my partner had a cancer scare which resulted in her having to be sterilised at the age of 32, naturally a shock to us all.
Then 16 months ago she was diagnosed with fibroids (which apparently can be removed but only with her having a full hysterectomy - the doc's have said at her age she's much too young to get this done), this then resulted in painful sex for her, at which point her libido became very low to none existant.
We went from a sexual couple (once or twice a week) to 4 times last year.
This has even dwindled further into only once this year!!!
I have said I would wait for her however long this took, but now I am begining to feel a little bit strained.
So I am afraid I will be a killjoy this weekend & refrain from the masked ball (hope you can all understand) & I shall go out & get absolutely ......
BLAZING DRUNK

I`m sorry to hear about your problems. Tell me to mind my own if you like, but if your lady has already been sterilised I don`t see why she shouldn`t have the hysterectomy, from what I know (which isn`t alot!) if the ovaries are left alone, there`s no need for HRT. Perhaps a second opinion? She`s too young to be giving up her sex life just yet too.
Does it hurt when she cums, or just with penetration? Perhaps there could be ways around this? I really think it would be worthwhile for you both to talk to someone else about this, because it`s just too damn unfair.

PS, Have a few for me, I`m saving for the munch, so no weekend pint this weekend!
Thats strange, wife had her bits taken out when she was about 26....Bloody NHS..

I'm also puzzled about the reluctance to allow a hystericalectomy (sorry, I know it's not funny really). I was 35 when I had mine. As Venus says, they leave the ovaries intact unless there is a good reason to remove them. This way it doesn't bring on the menapause any earlier and so does not result in the need for HRT. It was one of the best things to have happened, my health improved no-end. And the added benefit of no periods, PMT or period pains.
I would be tempted to question the decision and get the full reasons behind it. Perhaps get a second opinion. Let's face it this government is trying to say they are all behind patient choice!
Whatever happens Slyde - I wish you and your loved one well.
Hugs, Alex x
My Mum had fibroids and they suggested a Coil....as that can sometimes help.....
Good luck with what you are facing together, and that is the main thing, that you are facing it TOGETHER!!
you have my sympathy Whoosh man........ and so has your partner!
Im just about to find out if I need to have a hysterecomy for the same reasons.......my doctor is all for quality of life (thank goodness) rather than live in pain for years on end.
Hope things can be sorted out soon for you both.
