Right you lot,some help please!
Over the past week or so ive had a bit of a skin problem (everyone say ewwwww!!!)
I have very sensetive skin and it has gone very dry,a bit itchy and blotchy on my can anyone reccomend a good moisturiser thats ok for sensetive skin please???
Ta in advance biggrin
E45???
I have started using this because the skin on my forehead and nose have went very very dry recently!!!
i would go for the "simple" range.. its the only thing that does not bring me out in a rash.
another good one i think (and VERY cheap) is boots own brand vitamin E moisturiser.

Simple is very good as is the boots own brand although I had to stop using it because it was making me itch

I am actually prescribed cream by my Dr for dry sensitive skin.......... Nizoral Cream

Nizoral Cream is the same stuff as Nirzoral Shampoo - it's an anti-fungal application which means you've got something like psorasis. I've got it in the scalp which is why I use the shampoo.
The shampoo came off prescription only last year so maybe the cream has too??
:P
How about acqaeous cream.....
I used to work for Lush and fell in love with all of their products. They do a cream called Celestial, which is specificaly for highly sensitive skin, however it is quite light. It's worth popping into a lush for advice because their stuff is mega natural. But I heard aqueous cream is really good too. Hope it clears up x

I use that for my very dry skin and my daughter's atopic excema . ecsema ... ecxema .... grr where's Frecklebird when you need her?
i recently invested in Clinique's Super defence triple action moisturiser. Not cheap at £30 for a wee tub but it's brilliant.
Sudacrem (sp?) works a treat, just takes forever to soak in
Just a thought Clare, it can be messy but I have used good old cheap Vaseline on dry patches of skin on my face and that's worked too, particularly if you leave it on over night.

Hijack here (sorry Clare).......I babysat very recently for my friends 5 year old. After 10 mins of complete silence I snuck upstairs thinking he'd had a nap..
If only, FFS!
It was the old vaseline in the hair trick 'grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr'

mad :x
I have quite bad excema so i get prescribed hydrocortizone cream from the doctor - works a treat it does! but if its only dry skin then i cant say anything more than's already been said! dunno lol
Well thaks to those who said sudocream,i had some in and slapped it on,works a bloody calmed down already-ta very muchly biggrin
I'm not a girl, but saw the head woman of body shop, on tv, saying that there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that sperm is excellent for your skin.
In my own experience, sperm has cleared up the spots on both sets of Wor Lass's cheeks!
Im a firm supporter of sainsburys lemongrass skin cream. Its fantastic and keeps your skin soft, healthy and smells fantastic.
Id say stick with sommit cheap and unperfumed!! I had bad skin problems a few years ago and found the moe stuff I used the worse it got!! I use a cheap moisturiser out of superdrug its in a wee puply kinda blue cloloured bottle and its their own make!! No perfume and its not dead thick either its kinda milky and good for dry skin!! Maybe too much heating up in the house with the cold weather??? Crack a window and drink plenty water too (tap waters better!)
If its for your body try vaseline intensive care thats really nice and doesnt leave you all sticky like some creams (not that kinda cream!!) lol
i am not a girl... honest but i have skin problems with my execema.... whatever!!!
i use vaseline intensive care hypoallergenic.... which work well...
the other thing i have that works wonders is pure aloe vera gel, which you can get from holland and baratts.. it is brilliant stuff....

Yeah Nappy rash (sudocream) is what i use-its great stuff!
Cheers James
Body Shop's Almond Oil Rescue Cream is excellent for dry days, it's meant for your hands but works well on everything (especially after waxing) and smells gorgeous!
i've always had sensitive skin and sometimes in cold weather my face becomes dry and chapped, i've tried allsorts of cream and the only one that doesn't cause a rash for me is oil of ulay double action cream. it works a treat for me and i'd swear by it.

Exactly what I was thinking, it's pure and REALLY cheap, last pot I bought was 42p.
Aqueous cream is great for alsorts of things...

100ml costs 92p from right now.
It can also be used for , , , , , as pessary or lube (oil based, so not for use with condoms), as a carier for alsorts of medications, preparations, and massage oils (with moisturising), it can also be used on it's own as a liquid soap, it can be suplied in solidified form as soap similar to Simple (although I do not know the ingredients of Simple).
I don't know if this is true, but I read that E45 is aqueous cream, but ac is sooooo much cheaper.
In short, everyone should have aqueous cream, it's great!
Hope this helps.
Chris
the best stuff i have found is aloe vera.
i burnt myself a few months ago on a blow touch. and somone suggested this stuff. so i got some (£12 a tube though) and it cleared up the flared skin in about 30 mins. i hav sicne bought some other stuff with is ideal for Dry skin...
the tube looks like
