nine,diagnosed last year,getting used to the stares tuts and my kid would behave of the general public,
boosted my confidence no end that my mum was wrong and it wasnt poor parenting
and he gives the best hugs ever
My eldest son, aged 17, has Asperger's Syndrome (a form of autism) and he's the only one of my biggest 3 boys who still kisses me goodnight every night and will give me a hug if I ask. Funny how everyone assumes autism goes hand-in-hand with a lack of affection.

my boy has aspergers,and yes ppl seem to think autism is some emotionless state,to be honest i had to come away from a post in a forum on another site the whole post was about tourretts and ppl taking the piss i had to keep oot that one like
