well was not that funny.
i asked my eldest son to go to the local supermarket and get me a case of beer for the weekend. He is allmost 21 by the way, anyhow of he went only to return empty handed.
I asked "were is me beer" only to be told they not serve me as i had no I.D. to show i was over 18. Well i got of me lazy arse and took a walk to the supermarket, got me beer and asked me son who had refused to serve him. So he pointed to the checkout girl.......and i could not believe my eye,s the girl that had asked for I.D. looked about 14 ffs
Hillarious rotflmao :lol2: :rotflmao: :lol2: :rotflmao: :lol2: :rotflmao: :lol2: :rotflmao:
Imagine people doing their job right and discouraging underage drinking what ever will the comidic peeps come up with next confused
In all honesty tell ya son to remember that day with fond memories as he will spend plenty more years in the future wanting people to ask him for ID just as I do lol
I don't know if this is in any other area, but at my local co-op I have to press a button when I purchase either alcohol or tobacco. I assume its to confirm that I've been asked if I am over 16 / 18 and that it somehow shows on the till records that the question was asked and confirmation was received. dunno
I never get asked for ID anymore sad

yer but he not just a poor helpless girl lol
I never got asked for ID when I was 16 and going to the pub. I did however, frequently get asked for ID in my twenties, up until I was about 27, in supermarkets! Whats that all about dunno
I used to always get asked if my parents were home by door to door salespeople too :undecided: They never believed it was my house.
Its all stopped now though  Must've aged somewhat recently lol

Good god. light beers and fruit ales were the safest thing to drink before running water and sewerage.
