Women are more likely to use landmarks, while men are more likely to use "sense of direction".... or in other words, spatial awareness. Which is the better strategy actually depends on the situation.
I am better with "sense of direction" than using landmarks. The other day I got "lost" cos I was trying to find a specific building from directions on map that was incorrect. Thus I was looking for landmarks that were not really there
. When I ditched the map I used my "sense of direction" and got there within a few minutes. Oh and the phone call to Judy helped too Now, you really do wish you'd stayed quiet, don't you Tool!
