A question for ''recent'' Newbies to the site...

A good friend of mine shown me this site about a year and a half ago and since then, every now and again, i've been having a look around and doing searches and stuff, but I never really had the courage to email anyone, this has now changed and I would really like to get into this as it looks and sounds a lot of fun.

Bloody hell, it works now, ok cheeky, are you asking this question for the same reason I was going to ask it before you beat me to it?
Allsorts, i was a very busy person, working all the time and at uni and stuff, but now i only get out of bed to smoke a fag or eat some food, so things have changed in a big way, i'm not busy anymore and spend most of my time infront of my computer. I now have a lot of free time and i think this could be a good way of meeting new people and making new friends.

I was talking to someone at work about a program called 'Real Wife Swaps' on the telly and she told me that the people on it had their own web site.
I went hunting for it on google and joined up.
I cant't say was overly impressed with it and this site was mentioned so I headed over here to have a look and Bingo, struck gold.
I've been reading the forum for a few weeks now and partially joined about two weeks ago but didn't complete registration until Crash Tuesday.
I have to say that whatever I thought about swingers before has evolved somewhat.
I have found that you all come in different shapes & sizes and are prone to all the aches and pains, happiness and joys as everyone else.
i like it here, not as a swinger but as a person with a GSOH.
I know it's a bit much to say this as a newbie myself but I am a bit saddenned by the HUGE influx of some types. I know what it's like when your local gets discovered by the mob who descend upon it without regard to the established culture.
Hopefully this place will settle down back to what it was a month ago, because I'm missing the lively banter and even the fights and snipes which occur any group .

With the old system it was reasonably obvious that if 40 adds were from "women seeking men" then it meant "this section is for women who are looking for men so only women can post" but with the hickup and loads of newbes then "women seeking men" could be read as "this section is where women looking for men should look at the postings by men"
Mind you... there will always be twats (and I use that term with predjudice and malace a fore thought) who dont bother doing a brief check of the sections to gleam an inkling into what the sections mean.
Hopefully the system will eventually prevent adverts in sections that the profile selection is not allowed in... which bar the fakers will save the mods a heck of a lot of time and effort.
