i have seen profiles and met men who have been shorter than there profile states, older and have been using 10 year old pics. and far from musculer when really its overweight.

PMSL i haved seen time and time again men who state their build as muscular who are clearly over weight, why do big guys do that if your fat your fat rolleyes
hmm, fat women call themselves "curvy" rather than fat....so why cant fat blokes call themselves "muscular"? lol
i do happen to agree tho......"rugby build" is often used to describe overweight too. if i like the man, the body comes as part of the package and who am i to judge. i wouldnt like to be expecting one thing and get another tho....so honesty is always best.
personally i like to describe myself as "fat but pretty" :smug: and i find very slim men the most attractive...opposites attract maybe?

Just playing devil's advocate for a minute.
Could it be that some people see themselves differently to how others see them and/or differently to how they actually are
I know that I sometimes do (but possibly not in the way this post might come across) redface
Yes Dammie
I can totally relate to that!
I spent years and years being a size 8 probably from early late teens up to about 35 ish I suppose and weighing most of that time only about 7st. I now am bigger than that but my mind still has'nt caught up with that fact and I still come waltzing home with clothes that don't fit me cos they're too small :!: I'm not moaning about weight or size or anything, I just wish though that I could remember the fact that I'm not a stick anymore :giggle:

I have the opposite, I was size 18-20 for quite a while and in my head I'm still medium to large..

It is a swingers site, so searching by body type wouldn't necessarily be counted as strange I guess. dunno Everyone has personal preferences and each to their own.

Can't possibly understand what on earth you might mean! innocent :rascal: ;) Oh go on... I'll admit it... I love very slim men! :inlove: The way you can see their ribs and muscle tone all pokey and boney. Mmmm! Although... I do worry I'd break them.
I'm not a skinny minnie by any means and tend to stay way from mentioning dress sizes because it does vary from shop to shop. Not many people have a true sense of size either. I've told people my size to have them say... Oh, no way are you *that* big. all shocked etc etc  ... It's not the size, it's how you carry it and wear stuff that suits not only your size but your body shape too. Sometimes this doesn't come across in pictures so I tend to take them with a pinch of salt anyway. I say I'm curvy, cos, I am. You can still see the bits in the right places and until I become Jabba the Hut I will not call myself 'fat' outside of self depreciating quips and jokes.
As for men... they don't hold their cocks in photos in a certain way as to make them look bigger??? Do they? Noooo, they'd never do that!
Of course you want to enhance and flatter your assest and minimise the flaws. Lying about stuff... no point... they only find out in the end.
kiss Gem. x - fatbird and skinny man lover!
Oh ffs ! ! !
And here's me just feeling better because I've managed to put a few pounds back on rolleyes
Overheard conversation between my daughter and her mother
Mum, me dad looks shockin - you can see his ribs an everyfin ! !

lol
 Sorry! redface
There is thin and unhealthyly thin, quite often people do look better with that extra few pounds on...
Dammie, you've met Neil.... he does go through phases where he does look terrible because you can literally see every single rib and it is painful. He has a measure by which he says he's too thin and he makes a conscious effort to eat different things or more often. Does no good for my diet... but he looks great with an extra few pounds on too. :inlove: :rascal:
On the other hand... can you imagine someone as naturally thin as him (or you for that matter) being a hell of a lot bigger than he is? dunno Some people just carry thin off well... same as some naturally carry chunky/curvy off well I guess!? :dunno: lol

who do you belive though is it Ann Summers(she says im a size 10) Dorothy Perkins(she says im a size 12) or Mr Diesel who says im too fat to get into any of his Jeans lol

dont ya just love ann summers sizes and the likes of shops that r bigger sizes makes me feel skinnier biggrin men also lie about there weight and size as proved by a recent meet of mine we like to see photos prely for the fact we like to know the faces we are talking to etc.. but often they are not recent so gets confusing i like people to be honest id much prefer to meet a woman saying hey im a size 16 im happy about it rather than im a size 10 then find out at the actual meet that they alot bigger
My shoe size varies between makers. It does not seem to affect anything else.
I think size does matter to alot of people, a few yrs ago i was a size 10-12 and i used to get alot of attension, but after having a baby i have now gone upto a size 18-20 and seem to get alot less attension, my looks and personality are still the same its just my size thats different

We all get fat days. Some days I stand in my wardrobe in complete desperation because nothing fits and yet on other days I throw something on and feel vivacious (<sp> yet still dislexic biggrin ) the only thing that has changed is my mood, oh if only I could bottle it for the off days.

Same here hunni. I think with women too, time of the month plays a factor ( water retention and all that )

Same here- wondering how long it'll be before my mind catches up with my body!
And (shush-its a secret!) I've just taken the mad, mad step of going on a college course to train as a fitness instructor rotflmao The course leader almost died of shock when he came in for my interview- I'm a size 12/14, and I got some pretty strange looks from the other students too.
However, I know that I've run 5k's where Ive been overtaking "fit looking" people- and twice a week at my martial arts class, despite being the oldest person there I'm also one of the only 4/5 people who never sits out when it gets really physical.
Do I sound like I'm trying to build up my confidence here?
surprisedops:
You bet!

Any time you want to 'old me . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Generally speaking, does size matter - yes. Though it is fair to say some preferences may cover a broader spectrum than others. Some people only like bone-shaker skinnies, others may be chubby-chasers, some like the section in the middle and some have a sliding scale. And as with all preferences, there are always the exceptions.
Why do people lie - usually because they have a problem/hang-up or insecurities with their own appearance.
It is no different to why people shave a few years off. Whilst I think it was said somewhere in this thread that women seem to do that, my experience is that men can shave the years off much more dramatically (especially if you have an age range preference on your ads - ffs some of the guys who have claimed to be 39 couldn’t have seen that side of 40 for a good 10 years or more)
When it comes to men’s sizing, I do like seeing the range of guys who use the term “rugby-player type” - what it generally means is “I once had a waist and I can’t bring myself to say that I am a lardy fat fella now”. ‘Athletic’ seems to cover a multitude of sins too - but I expect it depends on which type of athlete they are thinking of… Gabri Salasi or Giant HayStacks. It is a rare exception indeed that they look like one of the Olympic 4x400m relay team.
I tell people I am big, I have even put it on my profile that I am bigger than I look. If people have a problem with size and start asking detailed questions, to ascertain how big exactly, I assume they have a problem and say goodbye (or words to that effect). There are plenty of people out their who reply “mmmm goodie - love a fuller figure”.
Does the size you are have anything to do with whether or not you are sexy - not really.
I recall somewhere in this thread it being mentioned about someone feeling they get less attention now they have put on weight. Sometimes that can be true if we do not feel good about the additional pounds. But from personal experience - if you are comfortable with your size and feel sexy… generally people will find you sexy.
Go to a club and see if it is only the size 10-12’s who get attention wink

OMG now that was a tea spitting moment for me rotflmao :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
A agree with most if not all Polo, you made some very good points but I must admit that I am p*ssing myself laughing too! rotflmao
I have heard people say that they don't like it when folk write "size unimportant" on their adverts or profile (so I deleted that bit redface). But to me size is unimportant as to whether there is chemisrty and whether I find a woman sexy or not. I have been extremely attracted to women of all sizes at one time or another and continue to be.
In Edit: I have a much more strict criteria when it comes to height rather than clothes size, so in that respect, yes size does matter. lol

Good post PL. I've quoted just this bit as it's so true. Go into the chatrooms or the LMU and I can guarantee the number off BBW rooms/threads will outnumber the skinnies greatly.
I know lots of very sexy larger ladies who are comfortable with who they are and have a confidence that some hung-up skinnies don't seem to posess ( I'm not saying all slimmer ladies have hang-ups here by the way ) It's all about attitude and self-perception and that's what makes us all different and also attractive to others in our own little ( or large  ) ways.

This made me think of somethng I have frequently noticed... skinny women going on cam in BBW rooms (I don't mean the ones who are there to chat). Whilst it always makes me laugh... do feel a little sorry for them. Imagine having such big hang-ups and insecurities to feel you need to be surrounded by fat birds to feel good.
Personally speaking. I find the sizes useful as they give a rough idea of what can be expected. I know there are variations in different shops, but you get a feel (err!) hopefully.
This helps me cos I've never been a lover of huge women (sorry) but if someone said say up to size 16 I would find that within my range? Whether or not they like me is beyond my control however! lol
Maybe I'm showing far too much knowledge here but if you shop at EVans everyone is sizr 10.
Or so I've heard redface
I think I've said too much surprisedops:
Here's another thing.
Imagine 2 women, both a size 10 but one looks about 3+ stone heavier and the other looks anorexic, only because there's about 6" difference in their height. When you look at height/weight ratio and proportions, clothes sizes mean nothing.
Does anyone know more about models been banned from catwalks in Italy for being too thin confused:
