After reading The Lord Of The Rings, and loving every minute of it i was absolutely gutted about just how bad the films were
I love nothing better than curling up with a good book, absolute bliss biggrin :D :D (when im not horny that is!)
I personally love a good bit of escapism, whether it be a thriller, romance or something else completely, and find nothing better than good sex in a book, always gets me going wink
But lately have been finding it difficult to find anything stimulating to read, any good reccomendations??
Not much sex in it, but try "His Dark Materials," by Philip Pullman... three books, "Northern Lights," "The Subtle Knife," and "The Amber Spyglass..." very stimulating...
Clare.. mail me your address and i'll send you some of our books!! wink
A relatively new book -- 'The Bride Stripped Bare', interesting read, lots of sex, written by a woman. My partner who also read it, kept stopping to ask me, do women really think like this??....lol....
I also love shorter stories, sexual fantasies, etc...and this is old stuff but Nancy Friday has published several collections of real women's fantasy...for 'research purposes'...lol, research is definitely not the reason so many copies have sold!! biggrin
I love to read, and yes, particularly like sexy escapist reads, so do let me know if any others have books to suggest as well.
It always makes me smile about the tolkien books. EVERYONE enthuses about the rings trillogy, and yet the most remarkable, the most poinient and the most full of adventure is the HOBBIT. A film can NEVER repace the book because our individual concept of who looks like who, and what the scene is like, never gets to the same depth or intensity. If you like a down to earth fantasy type book, try to get hold of some of the early works by William Horwood...DUCTON QUEST...all about moles, magic and mystism...!
There was a thread on this recently. Had a quick look but couldn't see it. It's worth finding - lots of good suggestions.
