Agreed, the age of the Gentleman is dead. A lot of girls seem to go for the Rugby Player type, big and beefy. Though, there are a lot of girls who still appreciate Gentlemen like ourselves! Just gotta look harder I guess!
I like being a Gentleman though, means you're never described as a wanker!

There's nothing wrong with being a gentleman! Most women appreciate having doors opened for them and being made to feel special.
I agree Daverover... in my experience all women like being treated with respect, even if having only just met for a coffee or having some fun in the back of a Range Rover

i think a fact of life is some girls would rather have the bad boy who will use them than the nice guy who will smother them with affection. fair enough to them but they really annoy me when they start complaining afterwards.

To be a boring twat, the reason why most women prefer the "rugby type guy", (for one night stands anyway) goes back to the sub-concious primeveal temprel side of the brain which controls the female urge to reproduce with males that offer her young the best form of protection available, (ie physical presence and stature).
When our brains were forming the ability to think and communicate, we represented sexual attraction (in its most primitive form the chance that a partner will give his inherited genetics to your offspring) with the "Alpha Male" of whichever sub-group we inhabited and were part of!! The "alpha male" testorone pheromone will always be more appealing as is genetically more alluring that those that posses other sematotypes.
This is unfortunately why many women pick muscles over brains, brawn over intelligence, and egotisticall wankers over us great guys
there is study being made at present in Boston University that is researching wether this trend is evolving and women are starting to be "reprogrammed" to find conversation, intellectual supremecy and financially linked career possibility more arousing
