Sorry to have a moan first thing in the morning but needs must.
Basically, i'm having a whinge about members who are actually active and taking part in our wonderful site. Every time i put a search in for some local swingers i get a really good list of possibles. I put them in order of 'recently on line' to see who is around at the time. Unfortunately, i seem to get 3/4 out of every 5 members showing last visited the site ' over 2 weeks ago'. Now this really confuses me. Are they on holiday for a couple of weeks sunning it somewhere or does it mean they just aren't around full stop. Why can't we have a more definite idea as to when EXACTLY they were last logged on.
I really like to e-mail people but it seems a total waste of my time if these swingers are just not around anymore.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how the site can be improved in regards to this problem. Maybe the actual date when they last visited would be of help or to automatically show the account as 'temporarily unactive' if they don't visit the site after, say, a 6 week absence. Sorry once again to whinge but this really does annoy me.

Unfortunately for us "Users" the site itself has an economic value to the "owners" of the site based the number of Members. Various threads have appeared about this over the years but the bottom line is that it would be financial madness for the Site owner to clear out inactive Members or to make it apparant that there are (probably) 80-90% of the "membership" that are inactive.
Having said that - it would be great to be proved wrong and have memberships flagged as either "dormant" or "active." You could have the ability to make your account dormant yourself or it goes automatically dormant if you don't log in for more than 28 days.
Just an idea.
I know one very lovely lady who has been away for 2 months, and has come back. So having noticed I am happy.
Perhaps over 2 weeks would be better with the real time.

This is something were looking at so expect some changes in the near future.
edit: Its in place, last online will show the number of days, if its greater than 90 days then it should say greater than 90 days.
Lets hope there isn't going to be some 'clever' logging system, which brings a new terror to the site.
people will be so worried about appearing absent, they'll sit by the computers 24/7, then there won't be anyone to swing with!
