Hi everyone.
I'm pretty new to the site and just finding my way around but is anyone else like me fed up of finding ads in the wrong category?
Men seems to be the worst offenders.
About 10 times today I've reported men advertising in the "Women seeking men" category.
I'm sorry but I only want to see women in that category.
Perhaps there should be a bigger warning on the post ads page?
Sorry for opening my account with a moan but surely it's not too difficult to post an ad in the right section?
Welcome to the world of the Mods ;) They deal with loads of these, no matter how big the intruction is. Main problem is they either not reading it, or don't care, or just trying their luck...
Men not the only offenders, there just more of em...
Well, this is the first page the advertiser faces:
Read the posting instructions below before placing your Photo Advert - YES, THAT MEANS YOU!!!
* Please choose the correct category for your Photo Ad. For example, if you are a man seeking a couple then place the ad in the 'Men seeking Couples' category. We sometimes correct your errors (if we can be bothered), but it is becoming a full time job. If you place your ad in the incorrect category don't be surprised if your Ad(s) have been deleted and your account has been banned the next time you come to login.
* NO TELEPHONE NUMBERS ALLOWED! - you will be banned immediately should you post a telephone number.
*Only use your verified email address in your advert for this account. You are NOT allowed to use a different email address for contact within an advert. If you want to use a different email address then stop using this Photo Ads account and start another one using that email address.
*Adverts for WEBCAM action are NOT allowed - use the Let's Meet Up part of the forum for that. Ads mentioning the requirement for verification of identity via Webcam before a meet up are OK though. The Photo Ads section is only for real-life meet ups, not webcam, phone sex, email exchange, etc.!
*You should also read our Acceptable Use Policy to make sure you aren't about to post something against the overall site rules.
NO, I haven't bothered reading the instructions above
YES, I have read the instructions above and agree to abide by them.

And they have to click on the 'yes' or 'no' option. Then they go to the next page which says:
IMPORTANT READ >>>
If you put your ad in the wrong category it will be deleted, and your account may also get disabled. As an example, if you are a man seeking a couple, then make sure you put your ad in men seeking couples!

I totally fail to understand why anyone would not get the message.

I didn't say it wasn't clear. To me its perfectly clear.
I run a busy sports forum with over 2500 members yet the same problems on this site were just as bad on my site.
I just cut out all the long terms and conditions and put a large banner up basically saying "Do it properly or don't do it at all". It has halved the problem.
Peoiple never read the T&C's anyway.
OOps - I edited my post just at the same time as you replied. I know you didn't say it wasn't clear.. i just got into a mini rant and realised it was unjustified!!
It's OK I didn't think you were having a go at me.
I realise how difficult running a site like this can be. It requires a lot of co-operation from the users. Unfortunately not everyone is of the same way of thinking.
i have noticed it seems to be getting worse.
why are there so many idiots?
can we just bombard them with random abuse instead. That might get rid of some of the boredom.

NO, because then they'll just come on here and moan about people sending abusive replies to their ads rolleyes
Just report them, we don't need to hear about it on here confused
ok. sorry.
will go back and hide in my box now. smile
