We are new to the scene (well we're thinking about it) and have read these pages but need advice
We would like to go to a swingers club but are perturbed by the many references to the average age at these clubs being 'in their 30's' and how beautiful fit and slim everyone is in the website pix
We are 52 (M) and 48 (F)...
Are there any clubs in this country specifically for the old and worn out would be swinger? We're realistic in that it's been a long time ince we were slim/fit/athletic/beautiful

aw dont be daft we all know its whats inside a person that is sexy not the exterior. anyone who says otherwise aint worth playing games with anyway! 
Having been to several clubs up and down the country I can assure you that it is a myth that everyone is slim, beautiful and young. People from all walks of life and of all sizes etc use the clubs and so long as you are relaxed and have an open mind you should fit in quite nicely. Most of the clubs have a lounge area where you can aclimatise yourselves before exploring the other areas of the club. Go for it! . Have Fun!!!

I love the Club Scene and I can assure you both you are not worn out. I see ages ranging from 20's through to 60's. And they all have fun. Im no spring Chicken and i have a ball.
And as for being beautiful fit n slim, there are all sizes and shapes, yeah there are slim people, but there are just as many with a fuller figure, and are just as sexy
Id recomend going on a quieter night, most clubs are very friendly, and the staff are helpfull, just go have a look round, and if you get the urge go play.
If you would like more details pm me. I had a thousand questions before i took the plunge and went for the first time.

Looking for a recommendation for a club. I would go to Chameleons as the reviews are so good but she says she doesn't want to go so close in case we meet anyone we know!!
I looked at la chambre but was perturbed by the code of people going in fully clothed and hanging around leering a the few ready to play. At leats with everyone in towels or dressed erotically, there is a 'level playing field'
Reviews on clubs other than them seem a bit sparse and out of date so am looking for a club outside the Midlands where people have to 'dress appropriately', where mature people are welcome, and where there is no pressure, ie OK to sit round dressed sexily but no pressure to play

You have to go with what you feel comfortable with... Myself being a BBW, i prefare to go to places where there isn't any pressure... and you DON'T have to get undressed when you walk through the door... So im afraid i don't agree with your ...

Speaking as a less than perfect and a more than young couple, we would echo John and Shel's comments about Liaisons on a Sunday. It really is a friendly club and perfect for dipping your toes in the water. No one can go upstairs without getting changed and while there are good looking people there, there are no "beautiful people" just there to look beautiful.

The problem with LaChambre though is that many people remain dressed throughout the evening and can access the playing areas to watch while dressed in street clothes. The one time we went there we felt as though we were an exhibit at the zoo.
Of the many, many clubs we've been to, as far as we can remember only Cupids and Chameleons insist on an immediate change policy. All the others allow you to sit in the bar areas fully dressed but quite rightly do not allow you to enter the playing areas until you have changed.
Also, some people prefer to lock themselves in private rooms, but many people prefer to play in open rooms. We don't mind being watched by people that are prepared to play at some point at the club themselves,but we draw the line at being the excitement for people that are storing up fantasys to use when they get home.

I for 1... am not a person who goes anywhere with no intention of not playing or to get an eye full of naked people to "excite my fantasy's".... Im not even a watcher...
I actually prefare to sit in the bar area.. chat with people... relax and move on when im comfortable to do so...

I prefare to go places where I feel comfortable.... which is somewhere im not FORCED into doing something i don't wanna do...which includes taking my clothes of until i feel ready too...... There was a club that opened close to us that catered for young, slim swingers, noone over 35 and no women over a dress size 12 was allowed, its was sold to new owners to opened it as a swinbging club to everyone within 6 months of opening, tells u a lot don't it lol
well tells u most swingers are not young and slim anyway

Couldnt agree more! Personally we like the Xtasia club in the West midlands it suits us fine

Age 52 and 48 ??? don't know what you are worried about, your are still young, if you were my age, you wouldn't have any chance at all : jump in and enjoy !!!

here is 1 for you then...... Few weeks back i was in Passion in Blackpool... and to my horror... The ex of a girl i used to go about with was there.... Beleive me, she is the last person i want to know about my private life... Gob and Mersey tunnel springs to mind!!!

I do know of one firewoman who has lost her job because she admitted to being a swinger- she was disciplined for bringing the service into disrepute.

The problem with a local club is not neccessarily meeting people inside, but being spotted going in by passers-by that know you.
The likelihood is remote but we've been at a club when 2 brothers and their wives met, 2 neighbours met and a couple met their niece. (not all at the same time I hasten to add...that would be spooky) :lol: :lol: :lol:
In the end people need to take the precautions that they feel happiest with. We have no problems with clubs but would never post a photo on the net...that seems far more risky because of the much larger audience.

Have been going to Chams for nearly a year now with my partner and over this time have grown to really enjoy the occasions we've been there. I'm 47 and he's 42 - neither of us what you'd call slim. We've met up with a lot of really nice folk - whether couples or singles. Had some exciting encounters, as well as good conversations and laughs. We feel that Chams is a good place for those new to swinging -no pressure, but loads to do if you want. I was very hesitant first time, but things come naturally now! There are some good people that go and staff that run it are great and welcoming.
