Hiya all!
This will be a contentious subject and is not meant as a sulking, sullen type of thread - just an enquiry really!
The "North West Posse" meet yesterday was fantastic, everyone were grade-A fantastic people and we had a great laugh (even the Wimpy meal was good!!!).
However, it was notably apparent that we were, for wanting a better phrase, the youngsters of the group, and whilst we were made to feel extremely comfortable (couldn't have went better!), we couldn't help note the polite surprise in such a young couple participating in the scene, even in a social setting!
Which brings me to the point really - is it really that rare for younger couples to be genuinely on the scene, and how do people feel towards younger couples or people in general with regards to swinging and sex?
Really would like to stress strenuously that this is not AT ALL aimed at the delightful people who caned us in bowling last night, it is just out of interest!
We would like to think that we were our usual charming and effervescent selves last night and look forward to meeting more people from the site in the near future!
Thanks for reading!!

Hi U 2 !!!
1. If I looked shocked it was coz Dave had just bought me a brandy !!!! lol
2. I have never been in a group of Swingers where anyone was under the age of 30 ... I dont think ( If I have just offended anyone I am so sorry )
3. Last night was a social event, I would be more concerned for you at a Swinging event
4. You are both over 18 and free to do as you please .......... the only thing I feel I need to say is be careful !!!
So are you both coming bowling again next week ?

We've seen plenty of people, over the years, between the ages of 18 and 70. Depends where you go. In the "dress-up" clubs and the fetish-type scene, average age is 20s/early 30s. In "spa" clubs, 40s/50s (in our experience). Daytime "Socials" and "Munches" we've been to seem to pull in the retired/unemployed crowds.
On the Net, all ages from Danger of Prison to Danger of Mid-Thrust Cardiac Arrest.....
1. Wow... a brandy at Megabowl!!! Must have cost a years salary!!!
2. Oops - so we ARE rare then!
3. Yeah we are careful; meet in social setting, play things by ear, keep F's interests at heart at all times, only do what comfortable with and the like - we be sensible biggrin To us, age isn't an issue, as long as we get along with people. We just like to meet people with similar interests and enjoy ourselves, and with the scene being obviously sexual in nature, we wouldn't object to that from time to time either! It was really encouraging to meet so many people who are genuinely class with similar interests, and thats a step in the right direction for us!
The venue for the bowling next week is slightly out of our range so its unlikely unless some miracle occurs, but will definitely be making contingency plans so we can make it possible to make future dates!

I have been swinging... i.e., active on the swinging scene since I was in my mid 20s (not that long ago...... shut up laughing you lot, I'm only 33 now OK rolleyes )... but I had the "attitude" and the motivation to do it long before that and I was showing an "interest" in the more "seedy" parts of swinging when I was in my mid teens  .
There are some young swingers on this forum.... i.e. early 20s.... but what you tend to find is that younger swingers are very mature for their age. The more immature ones just don't hack it on the scene and go away pretty fast. I have met quite a few younger swingers in clubs of late... I do believe more and more young people are trying it... or is it that I'm just getting older and everyone else is starting to look young? (don't answer that  )
TBH, for me (and I have said this before many times) it is attitude that's important. If I like you I will shag you regardless of whether you are just legal or you are a seasoned pensioner.... I am not ageist
Fantastic reply blue thx smile
We consider ourselves mature for our age, but its obviously others who will judge that or not!
All we do know is that we've both had bisexual experiences from an early age, already have experience on the swinging scene, and treat people on their merits.
Its not necessarily intelligence that indicates sexual maturity either. Whilst I (M) might have more academic intelligence, F is very sexually mature in that she knows exactly what she desires and feels. We both have no fear in converting our feelings into actions and thats maybe, thinking about it, what some younger people lack the capability to do.
But if they can make the step up, then as far as we can see it, theres no problems! Obviously some people will feel weird even thinking of sexual acts with somebody who is the same age as their sons/daughters, and thats completely understandable!
But we don't see it the other way round - we don't have a specific problem meeting people the same age as our mums and dads, as long as they are lovely, genuinely nice people, and as sexually adventurous as we feel we are.
Hope that makes sense! confused
The only problem i would have with the younger swinger is just trying to keep up with them!! lol
Blue

I do possess a rocking chair, the old wooden variety, it's cool smile . I do not want to part with it however. When I'm well and truly past it I mean to sit in it and ponder life, smoke a pipe, and tell stories to my great grand children about how life was much nicer in the old days
Blonde hun, now you've done it, gone and offended someone! lol
I am still a few years off 30! Nothing wrong with being 30, I hasten to add, just that I'm not, yet, and you've spent an evening with me! And Judy, she's only 21!

OMG OMG OMG !!!
Should I get Steve to spank me ? Do I deserve it ???
I bluddy hope so !!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Personally i am always a bit surprised to find very young couples who swing, and i know everyone is different but this is just how i see it, at 20 i hadn't been with my partner very long and i just feel at that age i was still learning about him and indeed myself to be bothered about bringing others inot our sex lifes, we had been together for about 10 years b4 we started swinging, mainly cause after 10 years we was running out of things to do and we just needed something a bit different in our sex lifes to keep it alive, i just felt at 20 i didn't need that.
So altho i have nothing against younger couples who swing, indeed anyone who swings at any age, i personally am just surprised that very young couples feel the need to swing, i was approches by a couple who was 19 and 20 i think they was, looking for a older women for a 3sum and to me i just thought, (and i feel i will get a bollocking by many younger people for saying this but what the hell lol) what can they at that age possabily know about sex that i would be interested in, cause i looked back at me at that ages and tho at the times i thought i was the best shag about realise now i knew sod all, and when i asked why they was looking for someone of my ages they said and i quote, cause people our age arn't as good as sex :!:
Anyway thats my bit over best go and get brekky lol
personally i think that swinging no matter what the age is down to the persons personality and stage of maturity in life!
Im 19 (SOON TO BE 20 ON THURSDAY!)-sorry i had to do that!!! and i have been with colin my fella who's 26 for 4 years both want to spend the rest of our lives together, but if we were honest with ourselves couldnt see us sleeping with just eachother for the rest of of a swinger gives us chance to experiment with eachother present therefore not being unfaithful.
now i think that just because im 19 i find it very offensive that people judge me on my age.
I have alot more responsibilty, and been through more than alot of 25 year olds have.
i think its a shame when people judge, but thats the world today and i respect that.
people mature at different rates and labeling similar people the same really pee's me off.
I think what people have to remember is everyone is individual and are their own person.
To me age isnt nothing but a number and what really counts is whats inside that person.

biggrin
It's great to see a couple in the same boat as us making a comment that could have came from us!
Thanks bailiffs! wink
naughtynymphos - as bailiffs says its completely down to the individual person. Maybe at our age you may not have felt as comfortable about your sexual needs bnut that doesn't mean everyone at that age is at that level of mind!
We are completely certain that we know exactly what we want just as much as a 50 yr old couple on this site!!!

I am at the other end of the ladder but if you read carefully through some of the older threads age does not seem to bother most peopel. It's much more who you are. Sexually I do not worry either. My godfathers farther sired his last child when he was 83.
We wouldn't want to swing with people that were in their early twenties mainly because that is the age of some of our children lol

Should have quoted blues comments as this was a responce to it sorry :)
as it's in the news today.....
how did everyone do in their A Levels? lol
what is the age profile on SH by the way, anyone done the stats? dunno mind you that would need at least O Level Maths wouldn't it , can we scrape that between us?
that just gave me another thought  who has the most unlikely/useless/'never used it and never will' qualification, educational or otherwise?
I'll start the ball rolling, my starter for 10.....
BSc (Hons) Zoology :taz:
don't even go there meaty
I got 9 O levels when I was 16, but they would be useless anyway as the areas of study were quite different, looking at my daughter's coursework. Other than that all my qualifications are relevant and useful in either a work or home context.
I've got 10 GCSE's, highest grade A* :bounce: lowest E, took them in 1999, then went to college and took an A Level and a BTEC National Diploma (makes me sound special doesn't it, but its only acquivalent to 2 A Levels), got a grade E and a Merit. So far I have used none of the things I learned at school or college in my job.
Also, a 16 year old girl at work had the cheek to call me old, I'm only 22!!!! confused
GCSE's?
I'm not going to tell you what year I took my O-levels. Got lots, though.
How did we get on to qualifications? Oh well, here's mine...
3 O-Levels and 7 GSCEs - I was doing them the year GSCEs replaced O-Levels (198-something) so I kinda got a mixture confused .
3 A-Levels (shite marks cos I was too busy going out on the piss and shagging in the park to care about college rolleyes ).
Hons (1st Class  - I'd given up drinking and shagging in the park by that time so I had more time to study :lol2: ).
Ph.D. (Thesis is shite, especially the last chapter cos I had to write it quickly in one night cos I'd re-discovered drinking and shagging in the park... oh and Internet sex.... good job SH wasn't around then as I'd still be writing it now :uhoh: )
That's it for now :haha:
I got.
7 CSE's
5 GCE's (O-levels) (Took Maths & Physics at both GCE & CSE level)
(Got a 'U' in English Lang at school for just writing 'The Royal Family suck' at the top of my page and nothing else... Being an anarchist was compulsory when we were in 5th year lol Re took it a few years later for an 'A')
3 A-levels
BTEC National Dip in Business Studies
City & Guilds in General Building
& Numerous Cert's for H&S at work law..
