I am sure you are not getting old. I am afraid that I do find R2 just a little too non-descript for my liking and never listen to it, but that's just a matter of personal taste.
I mean, the station I listen to most frequently is R4. I am sure that would damn me in many people's eyes redface
Other than that it's CDs, R3 and NOT Classic FM (I can hear the cat calls from here! surprisedopssmile occasionally R1 and, when I am within range, Capital Radio.
Ok, I am probably a pariah now. I'll get me coat bolt
Will
PS I do have to agree that Steve Wright and Johnnie Walker have always been brilliant
will xx69 listening to radio 1 have u know shame loon smackbottom :haha: :haha: :haha: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
Depending whereabouts in the country I am rolleyes
I listen to radio 1 mostly but as I hit the Manchester area its Galaxy for me wink
Wouldn't worry about it Steff35....I have it on in the car most of the time, and I'm just pushing 28.
Mostly because the stations were repositioned and Radio 1 went a bit downhill.....don't mind listening to Vernon Kaye at the weekends though.
Otherwise, Sony Network Walkman, 20GB, 13'000 tunes to choose from!

Good job you didn't tell me that earlier!!!!!!
Alex (who hasn't listened to Radio 1 since DLT walked off mid-show)
I was a Caroline and Luxie fan in my teens.
Did anyone else tape music from Luxembourg - including the fading in and out all the way through the tracks?
It was also really frustrating when a great song was played and you waited till the end to see who it was - then just as they said - the signal faded.
And I remember the first broadcast of R1 as if it was yesterday - which is wierd as I can't remember what happened yesterday very well!)

I have good memories of Radio Caroline as well
listen to radio 2 as soon as i get into the car at in the morning, the only time it gets turned over in work is when that sarah kennedy comes on, then it is back over for terry wogan.
i am 38 and i cannot abide that chris moyles, he really gets on my nuts...
but steve wright and jonathan ross are essential listening, very funny and entertaining.
and if the old woman is a member of this site, please pm me immediately as i want you to take care of me redface
yeah and I want sally traffic to take care of me
oh yes forgot about her - and she is single....
Radio Two has changed listen to the Mark Radcliff show yesterday and the word fuXking was said 4 times in one hour of the show.
I then had one of those perfect moments at midnight he played “One of these days” by Pink Floyd at the time I was alone in an secluded car park stareing up at the full moon on a crystal clear night with the music blasting out, Truly spiritual. biggrin
And before you ask no I wasn’t in the car park dogging, I was working. confused:
Say NO to Wogan - fight the urge to become old, people!
I still listen to Radio 1 and I love it - Chris Moyles is hilarious in the mornings, Stuart Mills is funny to listen to on the way home from work and I love Sara Cox at the weekends.
I meant SCOTT Mills of course - who the hell's Stuart Mills? redface
Think I got out of bed too early this morning! biggrin
When you know all the words and find yourself singing along to the songs on Saga FM radio
then be afraid, be very afraid :scared: You are officially an,' Anorack ' !

I too have found that occassionally i need some 2 tunes. However i compensate by then listening to some radio 1, and what dross it is too (radio 1).
The cure is Radio 5, cant be beaten
ooh how long is it since my last post?
Struggled with radio 1 until the grand old age of 42 then gave in to radio 2 and intelligent talk :smile2:
