I can't wait to see this! I love Tim Burton's stuff. He's so deliciously off the wall! :bounce:

given that Wigan only recently unbanned the life of brian it would be ironic if u got to see a film others couldnt!
But wats the boycott about, surely alice in wonderland is only offensive to walruses and hatters?
its ok decision reversed
heres a link kaz will explain all

basically its because disney only wanted to give it a 12 week run before releasing straight to dvd as opposed to the normal 18 weeks the cinemas are arguing that the amount of money spent on 3d equipment means they need the 18 week window to recoup the costs of it

So sorry, I've tried to stop myself :uhoh:
But just can't resist
Such a bad thread title poke
ALICE??
Who the F**k is Alice??

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
The trailers look like Burton's Sweeney Todd but with more crockery ...
I probably wont bother for two reasons.
Ive watched Tim Burton before and I can already see in my head exactly how the film will go in style. Nothing new.
In it we have Johnny Depp someone said? The most over cast actor in the world simply as he draws an audience and not because he is the best actor for the role. Sweeney Todd the musical! no thanks give me the Ray Winston version anytime ;-)

Its being talked about on the Review Show BBC2 11pm tonight.
Watched a trailer for Alice in 3d at the cinema today. First impressions were it looked fab and the 3d looked really good .............. but
Not too sure how the story will hold up. Judging by the trailer it looks like it goes a little away from the madcap discussion and interactions between the characters and more towards a Hollywood blockbuster action film in places sad and I'm not sure how that sits with me. :(
Oh and I was at Middlebrook watching Avatar, so they'll be getting it. ;)
I reckon whatever criticisms the film may incite, which are pretty much typical for most Burton films I'm looking forward to it. Only seen the trailer so far (and in 2D unfortunately) but along with Shutter Island, Lovely Bones and MicMacs I wanna see it... Can't be any worse the Wolfman...lol
PS - much like others, I had that same thought about the thread title, did ya have to plant that vision of Roy Chubby Brown in my head, gotta try and focus on bouncy332's avatar instead...that's better...
