Just come back from a knackering bike ride, and Wembley is rather different today, since it is the very first 'Event' at the new stadium.
They clamed it would not bring any more traffic in, well that's tosh for starters. And there is the obligitory police chopper to be heard in the distance.
As the official SH Wembley Stadium reporter, I will report any incidents of significance today.

If all roads lead to Wembley that explains why Im always getting lost!! confused :?
Ive seen the new stadium in the distance as I pass on the coach... looks impressive.
What was the first event?
xanaisx
mass toilet flushing from what liasons said
As Drew said, yes mass toilet flushing. I did not attend although I could of for nothing if I had applied for tickets in time. My sources who did attend said the stadium inside was spectacular with the eating and drinking and yes toilet areas located above the seats behind massive glass panels. Massive TV screens, no pillars to spoil views and no heads in front to block your view due to the gradient of the seating.
These 'refreshment' blocks go all the way round the seating area, each is entirly self contained unlike the old staduim where you would be trekking long distances for anything.
The purpose of the event apart from flushing the odd lav or two is to obtain a safety certificate. There will be another test event in while where the stadium will be at full capacity.
There is further re-developement going on around the stadium area which Brent Council claim will 'transform' Wembley into a world class something or other! rotflmao
I heard that the toilets all had to be flushed at the same time!.....on your marks get set go....
Yes that is true, and I heard them flush, and all from a few miles away!
Yes but were they testing a no 1 or a no 2 ... it makes a big difference you know rotflmao
Oh and what kind of loo paper was available ... is that one with the puppies on available or is it the stuff you can use for tracing paper??? lol

Oooohhhh DD, that question would probably deserve a thread all of its own. Although maybe better after a few beers when peeps are feeling a bit more relaxed .......
The misery of sitting down with a paper/book looking round and discovering tracing paper just ruins that relaxing moment ..............
there are over 2000 toilets in there
Theres a huge train station in berlin (i think) that was built recently and became the biggest in europe....every day it sees thousands of commuters going through it
naturally theres only a very small toilet
Ive heard of synchronised swiimming but synchronised weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee's confused :? :?
If its all glass an you see people in the toilets? :?
I think it`s been demolished now, but one of the NW coast railway terminus stations had toilets that were bigger than the rest of the station, built as a cheaper option to building carriges with toilets
If you use your bike then surely traffic isn't a problem for you wink
Shame to waste such a great stadium on football though
36 took me up that road towards Wembley from the M4 (up to Ikea near Wembley).
It`s traumatised me for life!!
And Wembley has made it even busier?

If you were going to that branch of Ikea, you have to plan any purchase with military precision.
Firstly takes 2 days off work and view you potentiol purchases on day 1 then with list prepared, get to the store on day 2 when they open. But aww its worth it for that Ikea type quality (thick chipboard) isn't it?
I think we`ll be paying the extra to go elsewhere, I dont think we can face another trip there. rolleyes

and sooo scenic!
You should arrive via public transport (tube) and enjoy the fresh air ... stunning views... and nautural ambience of the entire area as you approach... stunning!
lp
Flat packs on a tube eh? That`d be fun on a Saturday afternoon! lol
