Honey they can only read the same magazines/websites that you can. I don't think it's a secret society or anything. Do a search on Google, maybe that might yield some sites dunno

As an ex biker myself I know bikers dont read to many bike mags as they are out on their bikes with their mates. They also have kids who might grow out of their bikes and might want to sell them. They also know weather a scrambler is better than a quad or a gokart for a first timer. If yoyu were a true biker your self you would know all of this.

I never claimed to be a true biker. I've just been nosying on the thread.
If you know all of this (as an ex-biker), how come you don't know all the sites or pros/cons, scrambler versus quad or gokart etcetera?
Oh, and I was only trying to help, as I tried on your original thread about it too. Here's another 'bikers' thread, why don't you see if anyone there can help?

Wonders in, has a look around oops, wrong thread … :scared: ……… had a Honda CG 125 once redface surprisedops:  , and bloody lovely it was too, bought it second hand from Stephens Motorcycles ( are they still going?) and was as pleased as punch with it, it had brown and gold fish scale graphics all over it, with a picture of a graveyard (tombstones) and the shadow of the grim reaper on the petrol tank. dunno
Wasn’t till years later that I thought, “ why would someone bother spending all that money on a cg125’s looks,” then remembered getting a ticket for doing 85mph in a 60 zone …….. “ on a cg125????????“ :dunno:      Oh the innocence of youth, so wish I’d kept that bike. :upset:
My next biking experience was on a Norton Commando and I aint even going there this time of nite………… innocent :whistling: :whistling:

Here's my old Fazer... got shot of her for the HD, but still biking AND swinging... it's not a case of one or the other, Mark.

It is if you ride like me Just couldn't handle overtaking while giving and receiving oral. wink What can I say, at least I tried.
Mine was blue and a lovely ride,
Came off in Holland and nearly died,
Scrambled my way to the side of the road,
And now I swing in a different mode.
Love, Mark x

Seeing as how we are only allowed one thread on bikes I thought I'd bring this one back.
So did any of you lot meet at Matlock? Or anywhere for that matter.
Pete here. Sv650 rider with Lissa as pillion.
Go to Matlock, Stratford and the Foxs diner/Harley cafe occasionally
Usually out on the bike most weekends, even this time of year.
Ooooo how did i miss this one lol
I have a zxr (old j1 model) for track and a 999r for road.....
I'm the other way round to you vix........... wanted a harley from being about 7yrs old......right up untill the point I rode one, then all my illusions were shattered, probably down to riding the wrong one ( 883 sportster) but that put me right off so went with sports lol
Had me a couple of baby HDs.
Best Harley for over in this country.
Gone for a sportier V twin now.
Not in Sleazys class though.
Bet the exhaust costs more than my bike cost to buy.
But that is the thing about biking. It's not what you ride, it's that you want to that brings us together.

Any of you people out there into the bike scene?
We regularly attend bike rally's and think it would be a good way to meet up with some of you socially as we are new to the lifestyle.
What do you ride and why? (bikes that is lol )

Matlock sounds OK, there is a swinging bikers group that meet there, they have little stickers on the bike so they can recognise one another. i nicked one once and put it on a very straight couples bike. it was huge fun watching thier faces when couples came up to them !!!!!! We ride a Goldwing by the way. good riding LOL Johnx
