Any of you people out there into the bike scene?
We regularly attend bike rally's and think it would be a good way to meet up with some of you socially as we are new to the lifestyle.
What do you ride and why? (bikes that is lol )

I'm on bike number 6 or so. Is an HD Hugger.
Is built for comfort, not for speed, just like me.

I ride pillion with my man - he rides a black Fireblade.
Anyone else?

Oh, they're out there, prolly just at w*rk at the mo.
A wanna be biker here. Grew up within a family of them and even did the Sturgis Run in 1987! Words can't begin to describe......
I love riding pillion with Mr GHC, who rides a kawasaki zzr 600. He wanted a sports bike but the larger 1100 are just too big for commuting around London.
His isnt that comfy to sit on for a long length of time, but his m8's BMW was better for long distance. I think hed like to get some kind of trials bike such a trans alp or Super Ten next thou.
Anyone watch the TT?

Former biker here. I used to have a Yamaha XJ600 ( pre-diversion model ) and a hardtail chopper conversion of a Z650 Kwack frame with a Suzuki gsxr-750 engine in it ( that had t go once my back gave out tho mad ).
I can only manage the local club meets in the NE of scotland just now ( local club just had their 2 weekends ago lol , can't remember too much of it lol ) but i've lined up a project for the winter...... back end of a 1969 VW Beetle turned into a trike. My mates got all the bits and will be helping out ( well doing all the heavy stuff that i can't manage lol ).

That is the original plan! I think its a good way to meet people without any pressure and still have a point in common.
It could make a thread in the 'meet up' section. The next rally we'll be attending is 'Devils own' in Leicester 25/06/05 and then the 'Bull Dog Bash' in august.
I ride Shank's Pony - cos over the last 5 years since I got my RG125Gamma the wife has only worked one year ( due to illness ) - and that was when we were both on min. wage! This year, I think I can scrape enough for my licence - and by winter / next year I might get a nice piece of fun, up to 400 cubes! wink

I ride a 1985 zx750 turbo(GPz)with an 810 wiseco kit ,t25 turbo, green injectors, collins dump valve and race mode e.c.u,zxr 750 front end and zx6r back end, does ten second quarter miles on street tyres, goes round corners like a modern bike does over 200 mph,and even stops when I want it to,,not bad for a 20 year old bike,as you have probably observed I'm a little bit proud of my handiwork,it's the most fun I can have with my clothes on,,oh yeah and matlock sounds groovy,I promose not to ride to fast for the rest of you lol also, anybody going to storming the castle??the damned are headlining on the saturday night cool biggrin

I ride a classic sports bike - Honda RVF400 NC35, also race a GSX-R 600 K2 and am currently tossing the idea about getting either a Ducati 749 Dark or Kwak 636... any suggestions?
Sex God
Ducati's supposed to be an awesome track weapon, not too sure about any long-term road time though. Depends what you want it to do.
And I noticed no-one's rushed forward to offer me some money so I can get a decent bike. evil   gits, the lot of ya. :P :P :P
*goes to bin and rescues Haynes for the Honda MTX-50*

Didn't you notice me barging you out of the way, to get to the head of the queue? Don't worry I found nowt there anyway - not even a shitty GS500 mad
I've been riding an EVO FXD for seven years (see pic taken at Glastonbury Tor). Only ever been into customs, chops and Harleys.
Into long rides. Matlock sounds cool for a bikers munch. I've ridden up there from here (London) a few times. I once rode to Matlock from Italy for a club meet. I know an excellent campsite there too wink.
