As aforementioned we have 2 cats...
Unfortunately for our daughter... 6 months of them with us has caused her many trips to the doctors... now diagnosed as a cat allergy!!!
banghead
Although common... which got me thinking...
I once went out with someone who had a dairy allergy... i mean what on earth is left to eat without ANY of that!!!
It didnt work out!!! lol
Anyone else???
Are you keeping the cats?
I got childhood asthma because of my cats, but it settled down after a while- I think I got used to them.
Now we have the kittens, I had bother with a cough for ages- same thing starting up again!
I'll no doubt get used to them again, your daughter might too????
M xx
Ironing, just the thought of it makes me feel giddy confused

Yes we are keeping them, the doctor said it will settle down and we keep them out of her bedroom and away from her etc...
Just spent 2 hours in her room tonight gutting it, cleaning it and hopefully now cat molecule free!!!!!!!

I suffer from hayfever and all year round rinitus. I am allergic to life basically  seriously tho I have to take anti-histimines every day otherwise I sneeze, sniffle and my eyes stream.
I'm allergic to cats, dogs, pollen, grass, dust, feathers, and mould!
I have a slight intolerance to yeast and if I've eaten too much bread and/or had a glass of wine or a whisky I cannot breathe by the end of the night.
I have to say at this moment in time I'm feeling good because I've cut alcohol out for the time being and I'm only eating one slice of bread per day.
Jaymar we have rhinitus in common as an allergy. I got mine when I was 39 .. just suddenly came on after camping in a field for a week. Seems to have triggered something that was latent. I get respite from it but no cure. Also allergic to the dye in Salmon so I can't eat anything with it in.

My youngest has the full blown hay fever but at least he only gets a few months of symptoms although he is quite bad with it some years.
Yes I get worse in the winter which seems mad but there is no logic to it .. I use steroid based nose spray to stop the worst of it.
Thanks for the kisses .. back at you too xxx
I do have grass pollen allergy which is a nightmare in summer with so many lawnmowers on the go
I have hayfever and I'm allergic to penacillin.
My daughter is also allergic to cats as i recently discovered after a visit to see earthchild's ickle kittens.
The poor kid was sneezing and rubbing her eyes within minutes of us being there and after an hour, her eyes were so swollen she could barely keep them open.
No kitten for us!
last year, i found she was also allergic to cashew nuts. Within minutes of ingesting just 2 or 3 nuts, she came up in a sore itchy rash all over her torso.
She's fine with hazel and peanuts though but after that experience she avoids all nuts by choice.
I'm allergic to fairy washing up liquid and I'm not overly keen on persil either but the cheap stuff is fine. confused
I get a really irritating constant itch on my hands and the palms actually become red and inflamed. Continued use gives me dermatitis.
I'd like to say that I'm allergic to housework too but it's just a phobia.

I also have a problem with bee and wasp stings that results in a trip to the doctors. Gladly its not something that affects my breathing, just swells up which ever part of my body that has been stung confused

Luckily I'm not allergic to wasp/bee stings. I was mowing the lawn last summer and I felt that 'injection' feeling on my calf - promtly ran inside and pulled my trousers down. Yep there was a bee attached to my leg. Not pleasant but a spray of waspeze helped.
But in the autumn I was stung by a bee on the pad of my middle finger. It was so painful and my whole hand became swollen. The trouble was I couldn't get all of the sting out and ended up having to have steroid cream for about 2 months. confused
I do love bees though, if I didn't have a cat I'd definitely have a bee hive! He is such a silly thing he'd try and chase them.

So is our lad...
He suffers terribly in the summer especially seeing as most weekends we are away in the countryside motor racing...

Kiss you reminded me of something. When I first started seeing Ian, I was only about 14, we went for a walk in the woods rolleyes
I was bitten on the hand but never thought much about it. During the evening my hand started to swell and it was working its way up my arm. I ended up in A & E about 10 pm where the doctors had to try and stop the swelling rolleyes
Ended up on tablets, arm in a sling and a massive bandage from fingers to just past my elbow for a couple of weeks.
Worst bit was trying to explain to my parents where I had been at the time to get a massive bite/sting thing redface I think they called it a Horse fly sting dunno
i have hayfever triggered by tree pollen, ibruprofen and i'm allergic to real down/feather pillows and duvets.
My son has the dreaded dairy allergy! please please let him be the 95% that grow out of it by the age of 5! worship

When we play and i give oral (go down on) a woman after two sometimes three days I get a sore tongue not in the obvious place i.e the tip but along the sides lol very sore and lasts for about four or five days.. never with mrs mdr but just about every other fem so far! Not complaining mind lol.. just unusual. Or is it?
