One of my favourite tracks is
"Tu quieres volver" by Gypsy Kings
There is, however, a way more beautiful remake of it, sung by Sarah Brightman.
Speaking of reggea
I have pink floyd's DarkSide of the Moon
by the East All Stars
Dub Side of the Moon.

Elvis's Suspicious minds done by Candi Station was a cool track
Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love and Personal Jesus
Rammstein - Mobscene
Girls Aloud - Teenage Dirtbag
Alien Ant Farm - Smooth Criminal
Foo Fighters - Band on the Run
Kaiser Chiefs - Flowers in the Rain
Elbow - Independent Woman
Basically anything and everything done by richard cheese.

Dear Prudence - Siouxsie & the Banshees
Jealous Guy - Roxy Music
All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix Experience
A Message To You Rudy - The Specials
The Tears of a Clown - The Beat
Second That Emotion - Japan
Take Me To The River - Talking Heads
I shall add to this when I think of some more.
Bohemian Rhapsody (Live) by Newton Faulkner
Apocalyptica covering Master of Puppets or Enter Sandman by Metallica
Enjoy the Silence (Depeche Mode) by Lacuna Coil

Land of Confusion (Genesis) by Disturbed
I don't feel like dancing (Scissor Sisters) by Hayseed Dixie

I saw Hayseed Dixie at a festival a few years ago, their soundcheck was more entertaining than most of the acts I saw that weekend.
I also had forgotten something I only heard recently for the first time, and thought it was fantastic, and that was a version of 'Another Brick In The Wall' by Korn.

Morb just agreed and said he's heard it and it's good!
Baby I Love You - Ramones
Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band
Get By With A Little Help From My Friends - Joe Cocker
Hard To Handle - Black Crowes
Step On - Happy Mondays
Eloise - The Damned
Ziggy Stardust - Bauhuas
In case you didn't know, I'm stuck in a musical timewarp, anything 60's 70's and 80's and I'm happy.
I meant music, so no smart comments.
Edited to add that having seen Calista's post, I had no idea that Foo Fighters had done a version of 'Band On The Run'.
Excellent version, as is the Foo Fighters version of Gerry Rafferty's 'Baker Street'
My most favorite song ever is Stairway to Heaven by the great Led Zep.
But Rolf Harris came along and done his own version. It stank and if he would have been hung for it, I would have got a front row seat.....Awful. lol

Now the real version for those who have never heard it.
Nirvanas cover of bowies "the man who sold the world".

All Along the Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix Experience

The Hamsters' version... they're even from your part of the woods smile

Would anyone dare suggest that Leona Lewis' cover of Coldplay's "Run" was better than the original? Cos it's not. She's murdered it with her bloody warbling.
Silly bint.
I do, however, like a few of Hayseed Dixies covers, and Tiesto's version of the Pirates theme track is great!

Any cover of a Bowie song is sacrilege as far as I am concerned!!! Can you tell I am a Bowie fan?? lol
But having said that Lulu version is better than Nirvana and I bet you don't get that sentence written many times !!
