I was going to say that not following the instructions of a mod is in itself against the rules, but then I checked them and it isn't, mods are only mentioned in the consequences, so I can't put that. Could any kind person remind me where (I know I've read it before, but I can't find it) the bit about genitals and avatars is in the AUP? Ta very muchly.
What you could do is incorporate it into a sig if I am not mistaken.

Have a look in the "posting guidelines" at the top of the cafe.
I liked the avatar and would love to keep it but don't want to go against the mod who told me to remove it.
Is having it as our sig allowed as you are still showing it on every posting-anyone enlighten me.

Just for clarity, could you lay down the word on genitals in sigs please. As it stands I think it would be against the spirit of the guidlines, but not against the letter. Please give us a yes/no on it.Cheers.

I'd say that if you had not started this thread you could have mostly likely got away with it. I don't think anyone would have complained. Nobody has ever said anything about, you know the other one which is on here - better not say who - would hate to get them into trouble after all this time
