I do not judge anyone by the color of their skin or where they were born or their accent. I generally judge people by their actions and what comes out of their mouth.
However I have never had sex with a black man (or any other ethnic group)
Am I racist without realising it?
errr....no!
theres not a tick list of who i must shag....you can only have sex with someone you are attracted too...whatever there skin colour is!
Not sure that is a question that can be answered here personally, I believe everyone has some form of ground rules of attraction. Thats not racist, ageist or sexist - its just personal preferences isnt it??
I suspect only you can answer that question. Have you had many opportunities which you've declined?
I know we wouldn't think twice about swinging with people from other national/ethnic backgrounds, but the chance hasn't yet come up. So by that measure would we too be racist? Don't think so - just unlucky. ;-)
Well, I ain't never had sex with no black man either, and I definitely never will....and I'm also definitely not racist. Hope that helps!
It depends on the reasons 'why' you haven't had sex with other races. Only you know that answer Ab. x
No, it doesn't make you a racist - you're a human being with the right to have sex with whoever you damn-well please, be they male/female/hermaphrodite/black/white/yellow or Elton John.
Ok, I just burst out laughing at an email at certain somebody just sent me. I just have to share a little part of it with you ....
"you're american right? you've shagged a brit right? (bloody hope so now I've said that) So you can't be racist ffs"
Fuck, that made me laugh.
Ok, so I may be reading too much into this as some of you have pointed out. Yes, 'sick to my stomach' may sound too harsh. Can't help how I feel right now though. I absolutley abhor racists and to think I may have turned down guys/girls based on skin color is something that bothers me. Yes, I know that I don't have an attraction to shorter guys and all the other things that someone just mentioned in email to me but this feels different.
Anyway, I shall deal with in typical Abi fashion. Where's the wine?
If you'd been in comunication with someone without knowing their race, liked them, fancied them - purley on personality, then met them and found you couldn't go through with it because of their race, then yes I'd say you were racist. But that hasn't happened. I think you'll find that is merely that the situation hasn't arisen yet that you met someone you fancied who also happened to be of a different colour skin to you.
Positive descrimination is still discrimination.
I hope this makes sense, it does in my head.

rac·ism /ˈreɪsɪzəm/ noun
1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.
I dont see that under the definitions of racism you have a problem.
What i find is that i cannot help but notice people who are of a different colour. I have lived most of my life in a small provincial town where apparently 7 people in its 15,000 circa 1980/81 (who came up with that figure i dunno i just remember it from school) were Black. So, yes it was a case that those Black people stood out as did the few Asian folk.
I used to feel guilty and ashamed at the fact that i did notice differences. but hey thats crap innit. In the end i notice if someone is blind or in a wheelchair extremely overweight has noticeable mental health issues or the numerous other things that make us all who we are. I dare say if i was a black man in a small predominantly black populated town I would feel the same.
Previous to being married i had three black girlfriends 1 african and two west indian i always noticed the skin tone difference. I do however really like the dark skin tones of black women finding them incredibly sexy, Yet my wife is quite, if not very pale skinned and i still fancy her like hell.
Enjoy whatever you enjoy
