depends what u want 2 do with it, the canon XL1 has a cam bag available for it, it aint cheap (£800 second hand-£1600 newish) but it is used for broadcast so the quality is excellent. if you want to film at night (even in almost zero light) get a sony Hi8 camcorder with nightshot, fairly cheap second hand so tou can paint it to any cam style you like. let me know if you need any more info

suggest you go for a decent Sony Hi8, very good quality & fairly cheap now as they are considerd obsolete since DV took off. have a nose on ebay-find a local one so you can go and test it before buying (check it records ok, all the buttons work, the battery is fine and the lens isn't scratched). this should do everything you need

and before i get the swinging mafia on my case telling me about how irresponsable this was and how this is against the privacy law under sub section 4 page 7 paragraph 2a.
the tape is for me and hubbys use only and i would never show it to any one else.

disclaimer..anyone visiting me should know that they could be being filmed, they also should know i may sell the tapes at north weald market for 3 quid a go even though i am also in the film.
i also reserve the right to send the tape to jeramy beadle for the whole country to see.
i also plan to show the film on the big screens at piccadilly circus.
if you visit me you may also be gang , beaten, whipped ,druged,fisted by a docker and wake up with your hair sewn into the carpet.

I wasn't aware that one existed. I suppose you consider that there is because you did something not right and want to justify it by making some people with alternative ideas to yours seem like the mafia.
If being considerate of others' rights to NOT be filmed without their consent makes me Swinging Mafia, then yes I am.
