Any Northern Soul Fans out there?

Myself and PLC were wondering how many Northern Soul fans we have on the site
we are looking to maybe hold a social night in the future,
This thread is just to see if theres enough interest to take it a step further in the future

yes i had the flared pants and flirted to northern soul and bopped to rock n roll....
im certainly up for a night of soul ......
not too sure about the bopping though.....medical attention may be needed after :shock:

Well, where do I begin?
I've worn out countless pairs of Spencers, incuding the patchwork vareity, leather soled brogues, and trainers. Walked round with bottles of water and talc depending on how good the dance floor was or wasn't, spent thousands on vinyl, got the full set of Casino Anniversary Patches (real ones), once got to the semis of the annual Casino dance competion, used to go to the Morcambe Pier befor it got washed away, danced on stage with Tommy Hunt, have run my own soul nights, DJ'ed at many more, met Prince Phillip Mitchell, Shock hands with legend Edwin Starr months before he passed away, and can name most northern soul trax in 5. And tell you the artist. And the label. Phew!
Can I play out now?

Loved most of the songs, could never dance to it though redface

Takes a lot of energy and skill to dance to some of those tracks.

Was a regular at the casino on a Saturday night, then back to Manchester on the train for the Sunday all dayer at the Ritz. biggrin

Not been to a Northern night for at least 20 years.
Love to do it again.
