I did the google too. There was a hellfire club that was a 'notorious sex den' opened up by the freemasons. I just believe they took the name of the club and it isn't really related to the older reports that I've read.

Now when I were a boy I grew up in Hornsey, and I do remember that on the road between Alexandra Palace and Wood Green was a private club. In the late 60's I was told this was the place to go for late night drinkies and general debauchery. I wonder if this is the place. I think it was near the Alexandra Park rail station in Bedford Road, think in those days it was called the Bedford Club.... how original.
Maybe this dump has survived all these years and is the said venue.
You sir are a very perceptive person while everybody else was thinking of ...Knightsbridge ...Park Lane ...possibly.... Regent St ..for the best nightclub in London you have hit the nail right on the head and remember as a single man you only pay £50 and a couple is £35 very reasonable for the best nightclub in London ....but I think that is a bit steep for a shed in the arsehole of nowhere

In all honestly I have seen some rubbish posted on websites about luxurious surroundings and Liberal embellishment ...but to refer to this tumbledown shack as the best nightclub in London is really one of the ..''best ones I've heard in some time''

] With regards The Hell Fire Club - which used to meet in ' Medmenham Abbey '. { twenty miles west of London. } I am not aware that anyone would ever class it as ' the oldest and the best Swingers Club in England '

As it has been 242 years since the Club last met can you please tell me the exact date when it was reformed ?
