Once more, good citizens of Swinging Heaven, I bring to you a vexation so intense it can only be solved by your good selves...
I feel the need to DO something. Something that shows the world, and him just how I feel.... And before you lot chuck a spanner in, I am NOT going to have 'Outdoorfun' tattooed on my arse! evil
Leaving aside the marriage caper, AND the moving in, having babies (which is NOT going to happen), etc... what one thing proves a woman loves a man, etc?
H confused biggrin

Nothing says "I Love You" better than invitin all your girlie friends and giving your loved one a greedy boy night biggrin
ps babe47, I love you can I have one too ? lol

great idea but alas just wishful thinking sad
but well worth a try A* for effort
Well, this happened to me just last night.
My partner and I had a serious discussion relating to my state of health (which is generally very poor) and she realised that she had been very unsupportive about certain issues. Much tears, much apologies and so forth. When we went our seperate ways to bed (we sleep seperately as I have very serious insomnia problems and my pacing about at night keeps her awake) I pulled back the duvet to discover a book I have wanted for ages and been unable to find. She'd bought it for some special moment and secreted it there for me to find as a gesture of love.
At that point, there was no better thing she could have said or done. I was very touched.
It varies from person to person what is apt, and only you really can judge your loved one that accurately. But for me, that really worked!

Have you thought about having a star named after either him or both of you
Heather, cheese and pineapple cocktail sticks, and lager........
in a can!
Oh, and if you really want to impress, a bowl of chips with a side of white bread! :bounce:

A little bit expensive , but well worth it . Being married 18 years and having kids for 16 of them , we had never had 'time' on our own . For my birthday , Sara saved all her hard earned pennies and booked us 4 days in New York , just the two of us . We saw the New York sights , dined out , took in a Broadway Show and got luvved up again . Quality time with my true love . You tend to lose yourselves in the hustle and bustle of everyday life bu those 4 nights proved , even after 18 years we still love each other and fancy the pants off each other as well.
Pay to have his dogging-waggon fixed. lol
I do like the star idea though. wink
Saying "I love you" does the trick for me. 'Course, the problem there is that I tend to believe it...
We have one of those fridge magnet sets with lots of words and letters. You can make up messages to each other (ours is the naughty version so gets very steamy). My friends 8 year old son came in and read it once. Thankfully it was of the romantic nature and not too sexy lol!
Heather I believe he knows how you feel,so the advice to be yourself seems the best.
If this doesnt work for you then I can only suggest that you go for a midlands style big night out.
First ascertain what night is cheap night at the local cinema, get in the back row kidder then a slap up feast after. Dont mess about either go for it large , yes I mean order the curry sauce to go with the pie and chips, then to make it really special take the bus home, dont even think about walking.
If that doesnt do it I for one dont know what will rolleyes
Surprise him with a weekend in Paris.
It would work for me. as I love Paris.
It's not expensive these days to do that. HTH

I did that one at the weekend. redface I had to get really pissed to summon up the courage, but I restated it the next day over breakfast. surprisedops:  I think he already knew, though, and I think most of you lot had figured it out long ago...
Sometimes I feel I am publicly falling to bits and it is as embarrasing for me as it must be for him. And it must be making some of you lot want to yak!  Best I lock this thread before the gentleman in question feels compelled to respond.
But what's a girl to do? dunno
I have now realised what I want to do but I think this one has to be private. wink
Thanks for indulging me...
