What an excellent, informative and eye-opening programme!
I despaired at some of the negative experienced people with HIV have suffered (more so in the heterosexual community it seems) and the scary attitudes younger parts of the population have to putting themselves at risk.
I've seen friends die of HIV/Aids-related conditions and just can't imagine how anyone in 2007 can simply close their eyes and take unnecessary risks.
Can't wait for the second part of the programme next week. I take my hat off to the BBC and Stephen Fry for a well put together documentary on an important topic.
missed it....will keep eyes peeled for a repeat

With each new disease the human race has a catastrophic loss, but somehow recovers and continues to thrive. So in the case of aids, whilst we are in shock and awe of it; this may well be how we are evolving as a species.
Which would inevitably leave a dwindling population who are hiv/aids free, Where would their genetics stand in the new race for life?
With all the ways we (mankind) try to out live nature it fights back a redresses the balance.
thats not meant to detract in anyway the suffering some people have just seems to me thats natures plan that ultimately she controls the planet.........hmmmmm why did we make her female confused: :?: :?: :?:
