I have lost the plot and I want to write a 'disgruntled Darlington' letter to complain.
I love 4OD.. it means that I can watch documentaries without the boring trashy adverts. It is the only way that I watch TV. I purchased a laptop and can't watch 4OD on it. The error message says that I haven't got the digital rights management that I need. I have updated my Windows media player which is what 4OD runs on. That hasn't helped. I am now stuck. I can watch every other on-line I-player type thing that I want except 4OD and that has the very best documentaries. rolleyes
Please please help me. I would offer sexual favours but it really isn't worth your time.
Its because its a vast clunky memory eating shitface of a bit of software. You could try re-installing , I did it three times and it worked everytime , but when it went tits up the fourth time i just removed it and set the DVD recorder.
ummmm is that being helpful ??? rolleyes I may just offer you sexual favours as 'reward' for that helpfulness.
Sounds like an issue with your M$ DRM software. Someone else wrote this little guide:
1. Open Internet Explorer and go to
2. Click the Upgrade button (if the button is greyed out then proceed to step 4)
Once the process has completed the text on the page should change to: Progress Status: The security components have been upgraded successfully. To play protected files, restart your digital media player. If you cannot play protected files after restarting your digital media player, restart your computer.
3. Try to download something free from 4oD
4. If you still experience problems it may be necessary for you to re-install Windows Media Player or upgrade to version 11.
a) First remove Windows Media Player using the Add & Remove programs utility in your Control Panel
(Proceed to the next step if Windows Media Player does not appear here)
b) Using Internet Explorer download the latest version of Windows Media Player from Microsoft website:

c) Run the Windows Media Player setup file to install it.
5. Finally download the latest 4oD setup file from
then run it and choose Repair.
Restart your computer and launch 4oD again. Please first test with free content.
If that doesn't work have you checked the help site for 4OD?

Hmmm... Sounds to me like your Omparian Scudaruff has gone into the "B'schaenk" mode and that is causing a conflict with your M.D Pubic Ram slot.
Have you tried switching it off and back on again? I believe one time I did that and in doing so solved the Arab / Israeli conflict.

lol
