I think the thing that you have to remember is that many of the women here who are around my age (38 to save you looking) have offspring of around your age and the thought of being intimate with someone that age is a bit creapy.

Well speaking from the opposite perspective I much prefer older lovers/partners - always have done. My mother is 47 and I have dated/whatever women (and men) of a similar age or even older.
Again it's about attitiude - a woman can be 45 and dress/act 65. Or a woman can be 45 going on 45 or have a 'younger' attitude and 'll be me then![]()
Obviously I wouldn't be sexually interested in anyone that reminded me of my parents - but I don't tend to 'associate' with anyone who is remotely like my parents.
On the other hand, and I don't wish to appear shallow, I am much less likely to be interested in a girl who is 19 for anything other than sex. No great story or reason, just personal taste. I find I have more in common with people who are older than me.

I've asked you many times, what are you waiting for?
But to no avail...

Its all a matter of perspective.
My work means I deal with elderly and disabled people. Almost all of my customers are retired and generally refer to me as "that nice young man" . However, I probably fulfill the age requirement of being 'an older man' for many people.
When abouts in conversation do you ask someone how old they are?
