So the sun is out again and it is time for be to hug the shady side of the street, set under the tree and wait for the air conditioning to be fixed.
What kind are you? Do you like to bake in the sun?
Me, I am a shady guy.
I'm a shady girl, don't have much choice because my skin burns so easily sad
thru choice i sit in the shade altho my job does entail me spending more time than id like in the sun sad
i burn cus im fair skinned but i dont like to use to much suncream cus i then have a big problem if im ever stuck in the sun without any ... so i try to harden off my skin a bit .. carefully of course
also some medication im on means that to much sun and heat makes me very ill :(
sitting in the shade when its nice and warm is lovely tho smile
This ........

....is me on Tuesday, after sitting in the sun last Sunday. The blisters on my legs burst today (yes - 6 days on!) The pic doesn't actually look as bad as it was. My legs swelled and the pain made me barely able to walk. I have never had such a bad sunburn in all my life. And I still don't know how it happened! It could be some new medication I was taking recently. Needless to say, I am no longer taking it!
This weekend I have laid on my front (glutton for punishment!) with factor 30 on and seem to be fine. For now lol
Normally i'll be out in the sun all weekend every weekend in the summer and never burn. I also don't go brown but that's besides the point

I have a morbid fear of wrinkles (well, of ageing in general really!) and so I very rarely sunbathe.
My friend is a sun junkie (or tanorexic wink) and despite being three years older than her, she is always getting told she looks the older of the two of us.
So yes, happy to be outside but no sunbathing for me. SPF 30 all the way!
I like to bake in the sun with a good book or preferably be as far away from people as possible and be in the middle of the sea with the banana boat and hearing nothing but birds and waves
Yes and no ... give me a beach, book and yes I am a sun lizard.
Here at home no because I only burn and the heat makes me crabby LOL
Cx
I stopped sunbathing completely about 10 years ago, and I stay out of the sun as much as possible now - being in the hot sun just makes me feel uncomfortable. If the sun is hot I'll even cross over the street just to walk on the shady side.
I'm not really a sun lover. I've been looking after a dog that lives down the lane from me today and when I let her out into her garden I hid in the shade. I find it too uncomfortable. It was nice to get back into my place, an old stone cottage, and feel the quite cold air hit me as I entered. Very refreshing.
I can't park my ass in the sun for too long for a few reasons ~ I'm very fair skinned and burn like a bugger, I get bored easily so can't sit still for long plus being fair skinned I'm more aware of the health risks.
I'm dead jealous of people who tan easily and I do look pathetic in the summer being so pale but even with high factor sun creams I have to take care
I love the Sun....the hotter the better but....only if we are lazing around a pool.
I do not like working in this heat or the thought of like today, putting my race leathers on to have a blast on the bike...phew.
We went to Kefalonia two years ago where it got to 47 degrees. By lunchtime we were the only ones by the pool...it was superb.
" mad dogs and Englishmen " perhaps? lol
Anything for a nice dark tan.
I can spend time in the sun should I choose, tan quite easily. In my younger years I was lucky enough to be jetted about Europe every summer with my parents and have spent whole days out by the pool in the Maltese and Corfu heatwaves. In Corfu they had I survived the heatwave T-shirts lol As for sun bathing here in England no not really for me. If I lay down its because I am going to go to sleep and if there is time to lay down then I could be doing something else even if it were only logging on here. I am not a stay still kind of person not that I get much of a chance. For me here and now the best thing that gets a tan is my right arm from being rested on the car window biggrin

As a ginger with pale skin you have my sympathy I've been there more times than I care to remember.....for future reference, if you get badly burned again put raw tomatoes on the burn...makes a terrible mess of the sheets, but takes all the sting out of the sunburn.I now wear more clothes in the sun than during the winter, makes summer far less painful
I hate it!!
I used to go a lovely brown as a kid, not quite sure what happened.
I avoid the sun as much as possible. I get too hot and irritable .... oh and quite lobster like!!
I couldnt really avoid it this weekend as we went camping and now my forehead, shoulders, arms, legs and feet are bright red and sore; my nose is bright red and peeling (not a good look) and my lips are chapped!!
So with that image in your heads .... anyone fancy a bit? lol

Give my t-shirt and I'll think about it!!
I have been slowly building up a bit of colour by going out for 20-30 minutes a day whenever possible (sun and work permitting) and haven't burnt at all despite being fair and freckly. I am very happy to be a little off-white yet not quite tanned to the colour of old leather.

Yes I saw that Fun.
Sorry not laughing at you...coming out in sympathy with you. xx
Love laying in the sun with a good book. I do it carefully thought, wearing a high factor so I rarely burn but slowly turn brown. Luckily in my garden I can often be nude or topless, but next door keeps having football BBQ's so now getting white bits rolleyes
Thats all over now though lol
Well I like being outdoors and I have naturist tendencies so although I do tan I tend to wear a hat as my face gets too much sun. When I have nothing on I do not mind being hot but wearing clothes and getting hot is not good so the shorts get worn whenever possible. If I am about town then I tend to walk on the shady side until I can get loose.
I love to lie in the sun for hours and hours and hours - never burn either - lucky me!
