oh! stop me when i start ranting....
Or when Dino turns up....
Re-cycling. It's too bloody easy! There is nothing in my house that doesn't get re-cycled... excepting about 5% of stuff thats impossible to re-use/ re-cycle. My wheelie bin (and i only have one) is put out about once every three weeks with it less than a third full.
All plastics go to the local plastics company for re-use. And if you ever bother to collect your one-use plastics, you'll see how much of the wheelie bin that takes up! Plastic shopping bags, try not to use them, but when i have to re-use them and then the surplus is taken to the corner shop for them to re-use.
I have a compost bin for everything that is organic. mostly veg peelings but also cardboard and stuff (the worms love it!)
I have two bins attached to drainpipes for collecting rainwater.
All tins, glass, newspaper, leaflets, junk mail (delivered to me!) clothes and old shoes go to the re-cycling drop off when i go shopping.
I try and buy organic as it tastes better, but it's true it is sometimes too expensive. I am mainly veggie, and all my lightbulbs are longlife, powersaving types...
corks from wine bottles go to the old girl next door for her chinchilla to chew....
the diesel in my car is bio-diesel made from rapeseed oil...
Blimey... if i was any greener, i'd be Kermit the fecking Frog....
Bizarrely, I don't vote Green... (except as a protest vote)
Lastly... and to keep a long rant very short... i don't have kids... but for those of you who do... try and leave this planet in a better state, you kids don't deserve to inherit a planet fucked up by your wanton waste of finite resources...
me too postie, all the above
except we got three wheelie bins, household, paper, glass and a box for tin cans.I do volunteer work for the conservation foundation(David Bellamy`s lot) involving, preservation orders for trees, getting councils, schools and local business`s involved in planting trees, setting aside land for developing orchards etc, did you know that 75% of english orchards have gone in the last 15 years confused Looking after areas of importance for wildlife,ie natural ponds (for newts frogs ), marshland, brookes and streams. The planting of hedgerows, i could go on but i fear im becoming a bore redface .
So yes, a bit greeny over here. Oh , and im always gettin in trouble with the law for my echo warrior stuff too
ya tree huggin' hippy.....
Don't do any of the conservation stuff, but only because i'm a lazy git.. and the pub sounds better...
Anyhows... if i won the lottery, it's my ambition to plant 7 forests... of about 2 acres each...
all quite close together... a bit of grassland betwixt each one... various species of trees, a nice little habitat for wild life... badgers could go a'badgering, foxes could play with the wabbits... birds would tweet from the trees and people could frolick...
and from the air it would read...............
FUCK OFF
and then i'd buy the next OS map!

I fugging hate - no "despise" is a better word - the Green movement. I am an unashamed petrol head, and as such I am mightily fugged off by emissions restrictions that at a stroke killed classic ( pre '71 ) V8s and quality 2T ( two strokes for the rest of you ). People in their 40's might remember Fizzies, Elsie's, PowerValves even Yamma-Gammas - Where are the successors to these leviathans? Why has everything become so bland and anodyne, lacking progression, always chasing the most econimical smoothest aerodynamic blah blah blah.
Why can't someone just take up a Fuck You attitude. TF for Cisco and his fellow countrymen - all the time it is not good, but why have we all turned into a big bunch of hand-wringing, bleedin'-heart liberal pussies that bow and scrape at the command of anyone that says "Do this!"
mad :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x
Rant over - but I will stand by what I said

tried to find somthing to disagree with but since i had a fs1e and a gamma and a ypvs and a 250lc among others im finding it hard to biggrin :D
wonder if i can fit a v8 to a wheelie bin

Wheelie bins are too small - get a Honda 90 degree V4 with 400 cc ( NC30 has the most power ) then slap on a supercharger ( no need to wait for boost to build up ) - and if that ain't good enough, plumb in some nitrous - and as last resort, bore out to a 450 (445? cubes ) If you get an NC35, put some NC30 pistons in - they've got a dished crown = higher comp. = bigger bang. ( The above assumes that you have started with a stage 3 road tune )
PS ( in edit ) as you are located in W. Yorks, you could do a lot worse than speak to Jarrod "Jack" Frost at Holeshot Racing ( He is a multiple motorcycle speed and power record holder )
PPS - If Kaz doesn't like these ideas.....I didn't suggest them, alright? bolt
