I have to say I reckon the Introduce Yourself thread has definitely encouraged a few more new posters into there.
The only shame is that more people aren't replying to their threads - I know it is a bit of a faff opening another forum up, but it might encourage the new people to them come into the other sections if they got more of a response?

I think it's good that people are encouraged to post for the first time and the 'safe' environment of a separate forum helps but the downside is that it is a form of segregation.
