He still is one of the most georgeous men ever....dont you think.....
You have good judgement.
Favourite band of the 80's? But there were so many great bands then.
I reckon if I had to choose though, it'd have to be Dexy's Midnight Runners.

The most important band of the 80s was The Smiths followed by The Cure. Then we have The Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy, The Pixies and a few others like New Order, The Police, Depeche Mode and U2. Most commericial 80s bands were shite and best confined to the cultural dustbin.
I quite liked the commercial shite......fun, easy listening and georgeous blokies......
Im just shallow and like looking at pretty men.....
lol wink smile
thought we were on 70's Flapjack, thus I will say Neil Diamond.
Now what was sweet caroline all about? you can't tell me that he had not had a recent oral experience with some lass called caroline!, why else would he ascribe to her the descripition "sweet"
My Girl friend at the time was convinced of the mainstream nature of oral sex!!!!! she never complained thereafter!! ( well M n F)
Then came along YES: now what did that all mean?

The 1970s were pure class for music.
What we have today began in the 1980s. When the accountants began to take over and were more concerned with image than content. That's when the rot set in and just gradually got worse.
However there were some class acts at the time including as Fabio says Madness.
Now we have Celene Dion, Busted, Five and countless other non-entities who only have a limited shelf life beccause they have no musical foundation.

Comming from Leeds Neil I guess thats goth central...
The only bands that lasted or had an influence were the alternative and underground bands.
Saw The Pixies in 1989 in Cambridge. Think they will be just as good if not better when the do their reunion concerts.. One of the originators of Grunge. Mind you one of my favorite band were The Fields of the Nephilim from Stevenage, herts. Worth checking out is you like goth stuff.

I can't believe you were posting new threads when Most Haunted Live was
going out on Living TV.
Am I on my own here, or is that the best programme on satellite TV at the moment ?
