Aren't you glad?

Well what with all these 'crossed wires', 'chips on shoulders' and technical problems etc etc I thought I'd post a "Aren't you glad" that the forum is back, the chatrooms seem to be ok now and that we can return to normal forum duties?
I'm sure that the technical bods didn't get much (if any) sleep last night through trying to fix the problems. So thanks to them! :thumbup:
I :love: the forum for a number of reasons.
1) I can totally be myself as the forum contains such a diverse mix of people, so if some think I'm a tw*t etc there are bound to be others that think I'm ok.
2) You can talk about a lot of topics that you perhaps couldn't broach with family and friends.
3) You get to talk to people from all walks of life.
Why do you love the forum?
(And if you don't... please start your own thread! lol

I love the forum because it has shown me that I am NOT the worst person in the world at spelling..... smile

I just hope my old English teacher is a member of SH, she always made a point of telling me I was..(thats bad at spelling by the way, not a member of SH...I don't think she knows, well, thats if she's still alive!)

I'd like to know how much B&Q sales have gone up since your avatar first popped up. Maybe its time to approach them about a % for product placement ??

I love the forum because.....
I can blatantly flirt in it without being embarrassed
When i'm flirted with it makes me feel great
I can get away from everyday life for a bit and chill
There are loads of people on here who have an absolutely excellent sense of humour

Like Firelizard I can flirt outrageously and get away with it ( most of the time ) as I'm not like this normally innocent

I get to ogle at girl's wobbly bits without being slapped silly

I can chat and have a laugh with all my new friends and forget the fact that I'm stuck at home alone sad

I can read in awe at some of PL's threads and think 'why didn't I think of that?' rolleyes

I can go into the chatroom and see lovely blokes such as the Laird, Stormy et al on cam :twisted:

Why do I like the forums?
They make me giggle, they make me think, they make me sad, they make me mad, they make me sigh and roll my eyes towards heaven.................................they entertain me.
There are people in here I'd love to meet in real life and have a chat to, purely because of the way they post, and others I would avoid like the plague for the same reason.
It's human life in all its wonderful variety, and I love it. biggrin

The Forums have been the place where I have:
1) met some wonderful people to swing with
2) met some wonderful people who are just plain good friends
I have laughed in the forums
I have cried in the forums
I have torn my hair out in the forums
I've had intelligent exchanges in the forums
I have created and observed a heap of bollox in the forums
I have picked up some really useful information in the forums like:
1) how to shave yer bollocks (note the different spelling please) (thanks Warwick and Midlandsman)
2) what a wedgie is ( I honestly didn't know) (thanks Mrs FC)
3) a good,cheap moisturising cream for men (thanks Willxx69)
4) how to mount a military assault on a Big Brother House (thanks PL)
5) how much fun a masquerade ball can be (thanks all 'specially the man with no name)
I've read some beautiful poetry on the forums
......Oh jeeeez I could go on and on but I don't want this to turn into a Dammie post!!! wink

Just love it and the people who make it...

I love the forum...cos I have "met" some lovely lovely people who take time out of their lives to entertain me in mine...
I have a great laugh at some of the funny and not so funny things that are said on here.....
I have had wonderful liberating sex with people that I have met through here.
It has opened my -already very open- mind
It has made me think about how I view the world and change some areas.
When I am far from home (currently in JFK airport) I can log in and be back in my own home and I feel instantly rejuvenated.
I love it here...... lol

I love the forum because im a nosy so and so and get to find out what people think. No, honestly i do like being able to ask any type of question and being able to recieve a variety of answers from a variety of people. Ive also been quite naive about a lot of things and have learned from other peoples posts. redface

i was going to try and put a post together for this thread....then i came to read it again this evening and find that lissa and goose have kinda already said what i wanted to.

I'm in learning, don't care for the chatrooms that much these days, quite enjoy the banter here! Took me all weekend to understand the two were seperate lol
