hi all, i have just upgraded my membership to 12 months, will this be automatic renewal? if it is how can i cancel this, i cant find this option in "my account" i know most sites use this little trick,so annoying, and from what i have read, this site gives no refunds. very clever of them i must say ;-) so very expensive for one month, but that was very easy to cancel, get a year and hope we forget.
any advise ? cheers all mike ;-)

I don't think the site just automatically renews your membership but I could be wrong. I know it does on a monthly basis but I'm not sure whether that works the same way for an annual membership.
I'm guessing a support ticket is probably the way forward like Calista says... but when you find out can you let us know please?! :giggle:

On monthly renewals its automatic, but on annual payments the terms and conditions say "this is a single payment you will not be billed again". As far as I remember from the last time, there was a warning of imminent expiry on my homepage a few days before the event, and when the time comes you just revert back to "basic" free membership. Then its up to you whether to renew.

i have just subscribed for the year and it cost ...there are no refunds if you decide to back out just click on the cancel button ......but ??? why leave .............very good value when you consider other swingers sites .

That sounds like the extras package.
The yearly subscription for the site is circa 50 quid.

I don`t understand how automatic renewal could be seen as a "little trick" :shock:
If you don`t pay, I`m pretty sure they won`t renew your membership, simple as that

Yes. On other sites, you pay your subscription by credit card, and at the end of your subscription period a lot of them just charge your card again. Once you read the small print, you can generally find it and then it's nigh on impossible to get your money back, whether you would have chosen to renew the membership or not.
It seems that SH don't automatically renew though, and it's up to you to pay again - which IMHO is the way it should be. The automatic renewals are an expensive nuisance!!
well i only ever used to pay monthly as i did not use the site that much, but you could only pay by credit card, not by debit card and that was automatic renewal, but there was a clear option to cancel this straight after, paying for a year is so much cheaper and gives you the option to pay by debit card, but like i said i cant find the option to cancel this, so that is what i mean by "trick" i have come across this many times, but can norm find the option hidden on the main page some place, bit like a super mario bros game ;-) lol
