how do i get me an avatar confused

Click on profile
Scroll to the bottom
Click on view gallery.
Select one
If the ones in the list don't suit you, you can also upload one from a file, if it meets the file size requirements.
If you need more info, come back to this string.

hi kat, don't mean to sound dumb! confused

but who's profile do i click on? clicked on mine but no gallery.

No - my fault.
At the top of the screen, right underneat the title, you will see a series of menu options, Search, member list, Profile, PM's and Log Out.
Click on the profile button and it will open the screen to edit your profile. Make any changes you want, including adding an avatar, then submit.

as you can see, success, thank very, very much for your kind help pete, i may try and download one myself, but i think this is ok for now.

you can also add your own if you wish you may have to cut the photo a little to meet the pixel size very easy to do with paint use the cut tool to make the photo small save it check the pixel size by right clicking the photo then clicking properties the site will let you know if its too big any way cheers dean
