This thread will probably get locked but at least we will be in the ltc. Just have to say that we have changed our avatar as i was recently informed that it was under debate. Offensive and racist were a few words that were relayed back to us. Why is it that if you show a picture of someone that is a different colour from yourself, you are branded racist? We only saw it as a funny maybe slighty creepy picture. I have to say that yesterday i was quite upset at the thought of behind the scenes debate about our avatar when no-one thought to include us in this debate. No-one has the right to brand someone racist without knowing them first. We have three different cultures in our families, i have an important role in a local school that is 94% ethinic minority. So i just wanted to say that if we do offend in the future (even though definately will not be intended) please come and discuss it with us as we would with you guys. Please dont write negative replys to this thread as it was not meant to cause arguments, but to raise a point that if you do have a view or concern about something we do then we would much rather know about it. Then we can fix it and move on.

Sorry to hear you are feeling miffed. I didn't particularly like your atavar as it scared me 
but it never entered my head that there was anything wrong with it!
There is no way I want to belittle your feelings but I think that Chinese whispers back and forth often make things appear worse than they are.
I would like to think that if anyone had a genuine concern about your atavar they would have done the proper thing and spoken to a Mod, and the Mod would have dealt with it.

was that the avatar with the guy with a big open mouth and scary teeth....i couldn't remember earlier......i didn't find it racist or offensive!...i just saw a funny picture, the colour of his skin didn't come into it for me!.......and it really shouldn't have for others....

I spoke to Louise yesterday and said the same thing Kiss. I'm pretty disappointed that a forum member could upset Louise in this way when the avatar did not break any AUPs

Hi kiss, thanks for your comments, maybe i am over reacting to this but it was the suggestion that my avatar was offending and racist and after so called debate just scrapped through. A very kind mod contacted me and assured me that if it was these things it would have been removed and that i shouldnt have to change it because a few people didint like it but i thought it was best to just get rid of it and start anew. I really do hope that no-one has any ill feeling towards us just because of a bloody avatar. Its so trivial. Maybe i need to stop being so emotional about things that i should take with a pinch of salt. Once again i appreciate your reply. Thank you.

There was NOTHING wrong with your avatar.
NO-ONE complained about it.
The Mods had NO concerns about it.
NO whispers were sent to Mods.
It was NOT racist.
