In my experience, beautiful women, big or otherwise, don't feel the need to announce it - they expect you to figure it out for yourself. Self-praise is the least reliable recommendation, and with a few exceptions (including some noteable exceptions among the members here
), the people most likely in practice to refer to themselves as BBW are the same people who used to refer to themselves as "Dawn French Lookalikes" until everyone sussed out all it really meant was "I am very fat."Ice

I think the term BBW came about as everyone was fishing for a term which no one would take offence to.
Take the phrase "Lard Butt" as a case in point - you'd get resolutely thumped!
"Hefty" can mean muscular, "Ample" can mean large cleavage but thin waste.... but everybody knows a BBW is a big gal! (Except Redhot didn't until today. 
)
I can't say I think of myself as any of the above... but I do drop the old BBW as it saves on paragraphs of pussy footing around the fact I'm fat.

Having a big bust and wide hips with a narrow waist, it has always been hard to describe myself accurately, so I've mostly gone with the bbw thing, as I certainly can't be described as 'thin'!!. However, I now see that perhaps I don't quite fit into that category, so will now be known as 'ample' to my friends :wink:

I can say I knw exactly how you feel. I spent 10 years in a relationship during which my weight was considered by my ex to be something of a minus point.
Setting aside health isssues (and we should ALL be aware that being bigger does have an effect on health), the cold facts are that a lot of chaps honestly don't mind what size women are... and a lot, as you can see from reading these posts find it possitively erotic. :twisted: :twisted:
The only sure fire thing you have to do is overcome your own worries... as no one else gives a stuff, really. And if they do... well, there's plenty of stick insects around for them to play with, innit?
So throw caution to the wind, flick your hair in the air, let out the battle cry and see them come running...

Know what you mean about confidence Lucy. Six months ago before we started on this lifestyle, I had little confidence about my body and shape, but now I have a great deal more and know things will only get better on that front!
As for moments of self doubt, yeah sure we all have them, but they are rapidly declining into the shadow's behind self confidence
