Yes, that is true. As I said the tenants were evicted for not paying the rent... they are now squatting in an empty house on a web site far far away from here, we can't say where cos they are in terrible debt :shock:

If I understand things correctly, the SH chatrooms were hosted by another server (star-summat I think). The chatroom has now been switched to an SH server, so although the main chatroom looks the same, the paint's barely dry, so to speak. I'm guessing when the old chatroom on the old server was abandoned, the beta room went with it.

And I for one miss it...the main room is way to fast..and whenever i go on i just get pm after pm...so anoying!
Wish it was back...i miss all the people there, although some were strange, but that was part of its charm!
I did not mind it being black....nice and relaxing!

Well there you go, Hello Christina! Knew I was'nt going mad and glad to see I'm not alone in missing 'that bloody room'. It's nice to hear from you again. And putting the comic jibes aside it shows it did have a following even if most user's found it by accident rather than by intention because they either found the main room too difficult, nigh on impossible to enter! I do on occassion use the main room(Popeye)but being an old fart(47)find it rather a trial I'm to their own I suppose.

No you are not allowed to post addresses of PAY SITES, and if you'd read the rules you would know that!

To be honest I was only trying to be helpfull to other swinging heaven users by suggesting a nice easy to use chatroom now that the beta one here has closed.
By the way, I have checked and the site I mentioned (see...no addy) ! lol.....is indeed free. If you go take a look this will be confirmed, in its forum section.
But thats besides the point...Swinging Heaven is still the best swingers site on the net, but a little politeness would be nice. Would'nt a 'sorry but you should'nt advertise other sites here' been enough?
Please take note that apart from being a member I have nothing to do with the site I mentioned before.

If people read the rules we wouldn't have to waste our time with crap like this, and we would have no reason to be rude. As long as you abide by the rules in future, that is fine.
ah - the beta chatroom! We once arranged a Mods Saturday night party in there, and I was the only one that turned up! I have to confess to being someone that popped in there quite often, it was quite refreshing because nobody in there that I chatted to had ever heard of me.
It was slow and kept booting you out at odd intervals, and you could only ever see the last few messages. - and having private converstions in there was just WEIRD!
But it was just soooooooooo different from the main chatroom, and the forum, it was fun just for that reason.
Mind you, I've not been in for a few months, and as Mark says, it was not moderated, and every now and again you would get some right wierdo's in there. :shock:

Well I think we have all guessed, it's not coming back, as I said earlier, each to there own, some loved it (me included) and some just missed the point. What has been shown is that there seems to be an elitism. We all have a right to feel comfortable in a situation, some are happy in a seemingly frantic room, some prefer a slower pace, with all it's faults, the beta room had, contrary to popular believe, quite a number of regulars who were sad to see it's demise.
