What gets me is all this criticism of Galloway going on CBB, it supposedly being too undignified for a politician. I'm no particular fan of his, but this is by no means the first time a politician has made an arse of themselves on a popular TV programme. Anyone remember Harold Wilson on the Morecambe and Wise show? Or more recently Tony Blair on Richard and Judy? Or many politicians on various panel games and chat shows?

The difference is that those other politicians took a few hours of their spare time to appear on TV, while Galloway left his constituents without representation for 23 days, while still collecting his £60,000+ a year salary as an MP.

Fair enough, although he says he's going to donate that part of his salary paid while he was in the BB house to charity. And some MPs do have all sorts of other commitments that take up fair amounts of time, it's just that we don't normally hear about them.
